One song on this album is my favorite song, but they say a few f words. And this may teach younger people to say those words. There are no violence or sex issues though.
My main concern when looking for this cd was the strong language, but I managed to get around that. There actually is an edited version available if you want it, but only at Walmart and walmart* (the words aren't replaced, just silenced, but it's still edited). I really like the album, especially the song Kristy, Are You Doing Okay? The songs are very catchy and well written. I recommend this cd to anyone who likes rock or punk music.
I love this album. It is a great quality cd. I love almost every track. The majority of the tracks aro okay for anyone, but there are a few with some language. This is a cd with nothing worse than your kids won't have heard repeditively through school. If they are in 7th grade, and pretty mature it should be okay. I hope this was helpful.
This is a really good album. Some of the songs deal with violence, e.g. "Smoke and dust, enemies I crush, nothing left where a man once stood." And I think two say the f-word.
Right now, I would just like to say, you probably never listen to most modern albums in their entirety. This one is no different. I thank the Offspring for keeping any major cussing in one or two tracks. And, other than that, their is really nothing notably wrong in the album. And overall, one of the best things I've ever heard.
I loved this! Sure, it cusses a lot, but it's nothing your kids haven't heard. Plus, it has some great messages about self expression!
Definitely get this for your 11-year-old, and 9 and 10 year old's too, if they are decently mature.
i do enjoy this record. very much so. yeah, there's cursing, but, you know what? it's punk. get used to it. but just warning any naiive people out there--quite a few f-bombs. don't buy this for anyone under 12.
Parents be warned, the cd does swear. But not as much as most other parental advisory albums. If you or your kids like punk rock or rock you'll probably like this. The last song on the cd seems like a copy of American Idiot though.
Yes, the Offspring curse. But they've toned it down since their last few albums. The graphic language is limited to two songs - "You're Gonna Go Far, Kid" (which says dance, f--ker, dance four times and is about a sniper) and "Stuff is Messed Up", which repeats the phrase
"s--t is f--ked up" five times while using a--hole once and mentioning a "boob job". Also, "Nothing Town" says "s--tty" once, and Hammerhead is about a school shooter. However, there are positive messages, such as "Kristy are You Doing Okay", which is about helping a friend in need. Overall, this is the Offspring's cleanest release, but should only be handled by teenagers.
This is a great alternative to rap, but parents be warned! The song Kristy are you Doing OK is about a girl who was sexually abused, but it's about how the singer is apologizing that he didn't do anything, akthough he knew what was happening, The song Hammerhead has mild language, and extreme violence (It's about being in the armed forces) but it does not praise violence, finally the song You're Gonna Go Far Kid repeatedly says f*ck
