What to talk about

Talk to your kids
  • Families can talk about celebrities' influence. Does seeing stars like the Jonas Brothers and Selena Gomez doing environmentally friendly things make you want to, too?
  • Is "going green" a hot trend? Do you think Disney is trying to capitalize on the environmental movement as a way to market to kids, or are they just trying to be a responsible company?
  • In the song and its video, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, and Miley Cryus look like one big happy family. In real life, there have been tensions between some of them. Do you believe it when you see stars treating each other like best friends all the time?

What's the story?

What's the story?
Since they've conquered the pop charts, TV ratings, and movie box office, Disney stars like the Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus are ready for a few new hurdles -- like global warming, energy conservation, and air pollution. Seem ambitious? Well, the stars -- along with Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez -- are trying to attract some help: all the kids in the nation. SEND IT ON is the debut song from the Friends for Change: Project Green Disney initiative. The year-long project will include a Web site, TV spots, and possibly other music releases.

Is it any good?

Is it any good?

You've got to give Disney credit for trying to do some good. Who could take issue with a song about being responsibility and spreading a positive message to friends? This song could probably stand on just it's musical merits even without it's admirable message. Reminiscent of Chaka Khan's classic "Through the Fire" this single is a tween all-star creation with the JoBro, Hannah Montana and other Disney stars representing. The only thing that would give it more adolescent appeal would be a guest chorus from Robert Pattinson.

Good messages
There are really good messages in this song about how making a small difference to help the earth. I like this song okay, but I bet some tweens will like it because it has their favorite Disney celebrities in it. If it gets kids going green though, then that's a great thing.

Going green!
This song wants people to take care of the planet such as recycling, save power and water, and use a reusable shopping bag.

OK for anyone, but most teens won't like it.
I hate this song, as to most of my friends. But the message is clean. It also promotes Disney's Friends for Change, which is helping save the Earth.

Great song
This song is to show how great the world is to us and we have to be the same way to it. It talks about recycling and how to keep the world healthy in the video. I have no problem with consumerism because when kids see famous people (that may be there role model) doing the right thing they'll wanna follow there footsteps and do the right things to. I know i did. I know this stuff cause i am a kid!

any1 who is a nature lover should hear dis. young or old, you'll love it
i love this song. and it inspires every1, whether ur a kid, a tween, a teen, or an adult, you'll get da excact same message: help the earth. all the latest disney artists Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, and Demi Lovato team up 2 sing this song and pass on the eco-friendly message and show dat they care about our planet. da only downside is dat since so many stars r featured here, kids WILL plug in2 da shows dat they star in "Sonny with a chance, Hannah Montana, Jonas LA, etc etc.

Found this song under "Best Dancing Music." Horrible for dancing.
Its a good song, but it was said to be a good dance song, Its slow, so no dancing. If you want to dance to something really good, listen to Meltdown - Rin Kagamine. Yes, it is in Japanese, and yes it has a great beat for dancing, and yes, its about suicide. Back on topic, this song sends a great message to kids, if they like it, anyway. Some people don't listen to Disney music. I, personally, don't like it, but who knows, maybe your daughter/son will. Don't buy this song in hopes that you child will dance around the house, or that they will have a passion about saving the Earth after they hear this song. I think they are singing this song for publicity.

okay saong, bad singers
This was an okay song, but the only people who could really sing when this song came out was Demi and Nick. I just can't understand why every actor that comes on Disneyhas to be a singer as well. I mean wy can't they just stick to doing what they're good at. It's like an american idol channel
