What parents need to know

Parents need to know that this single is yet another good, clean song from tween heartthrob Justin Bieber. It includes no questionable content of any kind; it's about the almost over-the-top sweetness of a young guy just looking for someone to love and treat well.

  • Justin Bieber continues to seek out someone to whom he can give his heart -- a sweet, wholesome message for young kids just starting to date.
  • Bieber continues to demonstrate upstanding behavior, despite his burgeoning fame and popularity.

What's the story?

The latest single off the hit album My World 2.0, "SOMEBODY TO LOVE" finds tween heartthrob Justin Bieber crooning once again about his ideal girl. As always, the Bieb keeps it very clean, with sweet, innocent lyrics that describe his desire to give everything he has to the girl of his dreams. For example, "For you I'd be runnin' a thousand miles just to get to where you are ... / I don’t need a whole lot but for you I'd rather give you the world / I just need somebody to love."

Is it any good?

"Somebody to Love" is among the better tunes on My World 2.0, doing a good job of showcasing Bieber's powerful pipes. Though the hook isn't much different than those on lots of previous Bieber songs, the prominent vocal performance will undoubtedly make this single another chart-topper for the singer.

What families can talk about

  • Families can talk about where young tweens and teens should draw the line when it comes to dating. Is it OK to get involved in a more serious relationship when you're young, or should you try not to get tied down to just one person? Why or why not?

  • Do you think Justin Bieber is too young to be singing about relationships? Why or why not?

Why is everyone crazy about this guy?
Justin Bieber is getting REALLY boring. I say it's time to mix things up a little bit. Also, the lyrics for this and all his other songs are among the dumbest I've ever heard. Generic.

Bieber Fever. !!! :):):):)
Must. Have. Justin. Bieber's. Babies. Now. :] Haha Justin Bieber is so smoking hot, and I would recommend his music for sure. However I don't think older girls like 17 or so would like him, and any boys hate him as far as I know. I do think he's a little young (16) to be talking about love 24/7 but I do think it's cute for girls to have a positive role model for once. He is so clean and wants to send a positive message. Girls 7 and up will most likely love his songs.

Cover Your Ears!!!!
This song is sooooooo stupid!!!!! Justin Bieber can not sing. This song is one of the most annoying songs in the universe and has no message. He just says the same thing over and over again and is horrible at writing songs if he even does write his songs!!!!!!!!

If you like him be prepared to not be cool at all and if you are a girl no guy will like you, and if you are a guy oh boy get a new taste in music quick this guy sucks, parents please care enough for your kids and keep this fruitcake out of their lives. I hate justin bieber HE SUCKS!!! you might as well make your children listen to mozart(i bet mozart is way better) see in a few years this guy will be out.
