Best To Buy At Album Store
I haven't really listened to this album yet, but it is best that younger people go buy the album at a music store, as iTunes rated it "explicit" for no reason!

It doesn't get any better then this
This is, the best album of all time, from he best band of all time. One mention of "sh*t" in "Animal Bar", one mention of "sh*tty" in " Tell Me Baby", but, by the time your kids are 5, some kid at school will have let these words slip, or someone would have at a dinner party. But, Red Hot Chili Peppers make a red, hot, comeback. While, this album is definitely less explicit music, the it's predecessors, (they're all over forty, except for john) so they can't sing about "Fighting Like a Brave" or nailing cop chicks against their cars ( Sir Psycho Sexy). Yet, nonetheless, this is the best album of all time, from the best band of all time.

Get this album!
First off, i would like to say that this is an awesome album. It opened me up to the Red Hot Chili Peppers. It is a double CD but there are many good songs on it so it is not like you get one good song and then a lot of bad ones. If you do not get this cd at least download Dani California and Tell Me Baby.

Nothing Compared to 'Blood Sugar Sex Magik' or 'Californication'
Before I get to the review, I'd like to say you'd be way better off buying 'Blood Sugar Sex Magik' if you're above 15 or 'Californication' if you're 16. This album is overstuffed and heavy on subpar songs. The second disc tops the first in so many ways. Okay... Sex - Shockingly clean for the Chili Peppers. One reference to oral sex. ("21st Century") Violence - One or two death references. Language - "Hell" is used on "Charlie", there is one s-word on "Tell Me Baby". Social Behavior - Nothing Bad Drugs - The infamous drug users are finally sober. Commercialism - Does the twenty-buck price tag count? Overall: It's easy to find ten great songs from this album. It's just as easy to find ten flops. ****/Four Stars

good music
the red hot chili peppers are one of the greatest bands ever. on some songs there are bad words, but they are hidden in the song or music video. the song titles may sound bad, but they are one of the best. they do a lot of funny things in their music videos but none of them are inappropriate.

Amazing!
This is probably my all-time favorite album by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and I've liked a majority of their albums, and I have yet to find an album that has a higher ratio of good songs to bad songs. It's everything you'd want in an album and more.

Still not positive
I can't recommend any RHCP album for kids. Mainly because they all deal with some form of overt sexuality or drug addiction. I know this album is less offensive than prior ones...however, if kids get hooked on this one, who is to stop them from getting other chili pepper albums where the singer belts out how he wants to "romp and stomp" with women or how he dreams of 'cali-fornication," give me a break!

Best Buy!
As a music fanatic, I purchase as many CDs as I can, and this is one of the best ones that I've purchased in a long time! (exactly what I would expect from RHCP) It has mellow songs, it has some songs that are deep, and some that are just funky! Overall, I would recommend this album to any music lovers.

My favorite album of all time
This album is definitely my favorite, and my most-played. If you dislike mainstream pop, this is definitely for you. The music on almost every song is captivating. Hardly any language. In the song "Charlie", the phrase "Run like hell" is used often, and the word "sh*tty" is thrown into "Tell Me Baby". No overt sexual content (though oral sex is referred to in "21st Century), although I suspect it might be veiled in some songs. I've had this album for a year, and am still discovering new things about it. It's not for your normal teens/tweens, because of the deep lyrics, and the maybe less-appealing, less pop oriented music, but it's fine for any mature 12+ year olds who want to listen to it.

???
What????????? 17 and up? This is totally pure, and you have to realize that if you don't let your kids listen to albums with a couple minor issues, anyone from 7-12 will be stuck listening to Kidz Bop Kids and will hate you for it. You can't protect children from everything, especially not in music. This is fine to listen to for 8 and up, and really? The sexual remarks aren't a problem, because if you understand them there's no harm done and if you don't, then they go right over your head. The music's great on here, especially Snow and Dani California.

I Fell in Love
RHCP are great. I really fell in love with them in this album. yes, it is very toned down from the other albums only because they're older and don't need to talk about those things. Definately deep. Most kids would not be able to listen to it and know that they're talking about sex or drugs. Get thsi album ASAP! <3
