What Parents Need to Know
About "Stand and Deliver" (CD single)
Parents need to know that this single from No Doubt is being heavily promoted because of its live debut on the CW's Gossip Girl. This promotion might attract tween Gwen Stefani fans who aren't old enough for the prime-time drama. Although the song itself makes references to robbery, the lyrics don't pose much of a threat.

Families Can Talk About
- Families can talk about how television and movies use music to promote a project. Can you think of any examples of when a musician or group was used to attract fans to a film or television show? Will you want to watch Gossip Girl to see this performance? Does the television series become cooler because of this tie-in? Is No Doubt somehow endorsing the series or do you think the group is just trying to capitalize on the show's popularity?
