I figure that the best way for me to review this CD is to tell you about each song individually. (1) Tim Mcgraw: This song has almost nothing to do with Tim Mcgraw. It's about a girl whose boyfriend broke up with her months ago and she still can't get over it. (2) Picture to Burn: You cheated on me... you're stupid! (3) Teardrops On My Guitar: The girl has a crush on some guy, but there's one little snag. He already has a girlfriend. (4) Place In This World: It's about a girl trying to find a place in this world. (5) Cold As You: I loved you, you didn't love me. You think I would've noticed. Contains 1 D-word (6) The Outside: Ask me out! (7) Tied Together With A Smile: Girl, don't you know you're beautiful? (8) Stay Beautiful: Boy, you're cooler than you think. Ask me out! (9) Should've Said No: Get outta here, cheater! (10) Oh, My, My, My: Two childhood friends get married. The only line I don't approve of is "I was seven and you were nine... I dared you to kiss me and ran when you tried." I mean, what is that about? (11) Our Song: Some girl is whining about how her and her boyfriend don't have a song. He tells her that their song is all the good times they've had. Aww... (12) I'm Only Me When I'm With You: Duh. (13) Invisible: Stop looking at her, look at me. Ask me out! (14) Perfectly Good Heart: My heart... "it's not unbroken anymore."
Oh my gosh Taylor Swift is one of my favorite artists everrrrr!! She has amazing music and I can relate to a ton of her songs. "Teardrops on my Guitar" is the best song ever! :)
How is a country singer that sings about love not age appropriate for 7 year olds?? Seven year olds undergo heartache but in a different way. A lost toy, friends that move, they can have a crush. I love her so much and the fact that a 2 year old can't hear her is stupid because her songs are so relaxing. The message light is green so whats the deal??
A great album 4 all ages.Very cool, too bad there is no duets but still a great album.I have 3-4 songs on my mp4 player (love that thing) You rock Tayler
Her pseudo-deep music is so obnoxious it gives me a horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach. Her lyrics are awful, she's not a talented instrumentalist, and on top of all that, she can't sing her way out of a paper bag. The only reason anyone even knows who this girl is, is because the Disney Channel decided her face was marketable and said, "With the help of a little creative voice mixing, THIS is our it girl." All hype and no talent. There's nothing really objectionable about it except it's unbelievable lack of substance.
I like her even though i'm a boy! She sings good and well.. shes cute and she very much is in the song Back to december. Infact i know some boys like her too they just wont admit it :]
Maybe I'm being a bit prejudiced about the album because I really admire Taylor Swift, but as a girl who's been in some relationships I can say almost all of her songs speak to me in some way. I'm sure it is not autotuned, and she is a really great role model: not trashy, not slutty, fun and quirky. The only reason people don't like her is because she's well known for country music, not pop.
Most of Taylor Swift's songs don't have language in it, but most of her songs are about relationships which young kids might not understand, but there still catchy and nice to listen to.
Taylor is perfect. Almost all her songs (like 3/4) are about boys, but there's ones about mean people and how to deal with them, gratitude for her mom, gratitude for her band, and other good things. She's a great role-model that I know a lot of girls (mostly) look up to.
