For Those About to Hop
What’s the Story?
Kid-pop sensation group The Imagination Movers, from the hit Disney Channel series of the same name, have already rocked fans with their dynamic, crowd-pleasing live shows, and now they're sure to please fans with their second album from the popular, early childhood, learning-based TV show (First album Juice Box Heroes was a Parenting Magazine "Parenting Pick.") The Movers -- Rich Collins, Scott Durbin, Dave Poche, and Scott "Smitty" Smith -- formed in 2003 when they started writing songs for their own kids. Now kids everywhere are crazy about these endlessly energetic, doot-doo-wopping, brainstorming friends from the funnest warehouse on the block. FOR THOSE ABOUT TO HOP is loaded with 22 hop-inducing tracks, with songs from season one such as the infectious "Jump Up!", crowd-pleaser "Jungle Room," and of course the show's theme song. There are an additional 5 bonus tracks and optional coloring pages and lyrics to download on your computer.
Is It Any Good?
From beginning to end, For Those About to Hop, will keep the whole famly on their feet. Fan fave "Jungle Room" is horn-filled and vine-swingin' fun, with a chorus of elephant toots and monkey giggles to delight little ones, and "The Boom Boom Song" is a silly-soothing ode to the scary stuff in the dark that will help kids cope with lyrics that talk about the shadows as they "wiggle their hips" to the "party tonight." "Buckets & Cans" encourages kids to imagine and make some noise saying, "we don't need an eight-piece band," and "Mother in You" is a sweet-endearing "I love my mom" song that Mommies everywhere will appreciate. The loveable, talented, jumpsuit jivin' Movers create funk-filled, hip-hop groovy beats with clever and contagious lyrics to celebrate growing, learning, and everyday fun.
