This is a fantastic album. The reviewer must have switched around an accurate review for Justin Beaver with an accurate review for Three Days Grace. It doesn't send a bad message just because your weird head finds it boring. It's anything but boring. There are a few profanities, violent images, and drug and drinking references, but it's a great album. Recommend it for older kids and teens.
Geez, try to be a little more open-minded! It's great music and while there may be some "language", it's good stuff, and it is NOT generic, though I do prefer the second album.
This album is filled with lyrical depth. "Home" describes a bad family situation in which a kid feels his house is not a home because of bad parents. The album subtly puts down shallow sexuality several times "Wake up", while being the most sexually and language explicit in the album describes an either emotionally or physically abusive boyfriend yelling at his girlfriend. "I must be running out of luck, cause she's just not drunk enough to f---" are the deep yet more adult lyrics from the song. The album is depressing as heck because it's messages are somber and straightforward.
Kathi Goldmark has no idea what she is talking about.
Its a great album great band Kathi Goldmarks review should be taken down her review has nothing to do with it content she pretty much just says says she doesn't like it.
This appropriate for 10+ come on 14 you have to be joking. they said f**k once and sh*t like 4 times.
This album is better than one-x. Slipknots better though.
COMMON SENSE screwed up for once, and several readers agree w/ me
"I Hate Everything About You" is a FANTASTIC raw song about hatred and other songs are very well produced. "Born like This" is probably the worst track. On "Overrated," s__t is used repeatedly, and that's probably as explicit as it gets on tracks. Not as explciit, as say, Slipknot or so.
i dont know how CS can say this band is unoriginal, i love them...yeeah...my dad listens to Black Sabbath...as far as i can tell this isnt a tribute to them...uhh....they drop the F-bomb like...twice..wow...scary..stop hating Three Days Grace Cs they arent a tribute band, theyre awesome..
This cd is a great one for teens who like rock. All my friends like these guys and I have thier CD. There is some stuff about drugs and alcohol in the song "Home" and a little bit of sex stuff in "I hate everything about you" wich is kind of like a love song but he then discovers he doesn't like her. So anyway, this would probably be apropriate for teens 13-14.
I believe the review needs to be rewritten because I have never in my life heard another band that sounds like Three Days Grace and I listen to A LOT of music and know A LOT of bands. They have a wonderful dark rock music that works for teens.
