What's the story?

What's the story?
Tyler Hilton's music is unapologetically pop without succumbing to current hip-hop fashion and his TV career as an actor on the WB teen drama One Tree Hill, and portraying Elvis Presley to Joaquin Phoenix's Johnny Cash in the 2005 biopic "Walk the Line," can only help secure his position as a teen heartthrob. The songs on his album THE TRACKS OF TYLER HILTON are catchy, clean, and clever enough. The production and delivery are also simple and clean, with a pop/folk-rock feel that supports husky, likeable lead vocals.

Is it any good?

Is it any good?

There's something about Tyler Hilton that makes a cynic want to find something to dislike about him. He's adorably handsome, plays guitar very well, writes his own intense love songs, and sings with raspy, heartfelt honesty. On someone less talented, this combination of qualities could come across as extremely annoying, but the thing is -- Tyler Hilton is REALLY good. If Hilton hasn't quite given up on the "young Elvis" thing, inviting physical comparison in both his song lyrics and his CD insert photos, so what? In the world of teen heartthrobs, we could all do a whole lot worse.
