The album that shot them to fame
An awesome album. Parents may be concerned that pretty much every song references sex in some way, but the band is supposed to be aimed at teenagers who can handle it. (Nine-year-olds who only like the singles really shouldn't be going to their concerts.) Violence is mostly metaphorical like "make them dance like we were shooting their feet" and "7 Minutes in Heaven (Atavan Halen)" is figuritive for Wentz's suicide attempt. Yeah, there are drinking references in the songs, but the band is in their twenties, what do you expect? This is a great taste of the old Fall Out Boy.

Fall Out Boy is a good band; Wentz's lyrics are second to none. The one concern I would have on this album would be the breakout single, "Sugar, We're Goin Down," which alludes to homosexuality ("sleeping for the wrong team") in its story of a girl who falls in love with a gay friend and pines for him. Nevertheless, the band's positive far outweighs the negative; they're a talented alternative for kids (or parents) who don't like the Jonas Brothers.

FOB iz awzome!! (Fall Out Boy is awsome!)
I loved this cd! Some of their other albums is not as good, but I did like this one. A lot of it seems to be more about getting a girl. Or I wonder if she likes me kind of stuff. I didn't realy pay attention to the lyics, but I did like the music.

Easy to listen to and easy to sing. Not the best album technically but melodic and perfect for singing in the car or shower.

My Favorite Fall Out Boy Album
I really love this album. The songs are great, and I've memorized several of them. My favorite song on the album is "Sugar We're Going Down." If you're into the alternative genre of music, you should definitely listen to Fall Out Boy.

A Great CD
This CD rocks. Although the song titles may make parents think (Especially "Of All The Gin Joints in the World" and "I Slept Wit Someone in Fall Out Boy and All I got was this stupid song named after me") they are purely for humor and the song has nothing to do with it. There are some refrences to sex, but mildly. THIS CD ROCKS!!!!!Good music! Rock on fall out boy.

Fall Out Boy hits mainstream
Being a big Fall Out Boy fan, this may be a little biased, but here it goes. Ever since "Sugar We're Goin' Down" hit MTV in 2005, these pop punk "kings" (if you want to call them that) have been huge celebrities for tweens and teens. This is a very good almum. Excellent writing, from lyricist Peter Wentz, and awesome melodies from Patrick Stump. All of the songs are fun to listen to, and never get old (unless you listen to them over and over like I do). Parent's really don't have anything to worry about if their child is asking for this CD. Like most pop punk groups there are some hints at sex and relationships, but that is expected. Overall, it is a great release from Fall Out Boy. 5 stars.

MY FAV BAND!!!! This CD isn't bad. Mild sexual lyrics in one song.
THIS IS MY FAVORITE BAND EVER!!!!! Okay, I don't know any reason your child couldn't listen to this, it's harmless. 1 song is iffy. The lyrics are "We're making out inside crashed cars.../ Turn off the lights and turn off the shyness, cause all of our moves make up for the silence, and oh the way your make up stains my pillow case, like I'll never be the same." Not that bad just teenager stuff. This CD isn't bad at all! It is a MUST get.

Awesome Pop-punk Madness!
A great album, one of FOB's best! I recommend Sugar We're Going Down, Nobody Puts Baby in the Corner, and A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More Touch Me.

From under the fallout from the fans...
Well to get this out of the way... This is an okay album. But some of the stuff isn't for the 9 or 10 year-olds listening to it. Like some of it has to involve drinking and some bad behavior... but it is okay. The only thing I don't really like about the band is: their younger fans. The younger ones just really like Sugar, We're Going Down and think they are their biggest fans. Just don't like that that's all...

Good album
I really enjoyed this album, and for a kid over a certain age this wouldn't be an issue, but in a few songs there are dark messages. The most blatant being "When breathing just passes the time Until we all just get old and die Now talking's just a waste of breath And living's just a waste of death And why put a new address On the same old loneliness"
