Coldplay is actually pretty clean! Some songs (definately Viva la vida) may be hard for younger kids to understand because it's deep, but it's good music and appropriate enough for almost everyone!

One of Coldplay's best albums, one of the best in alt. rock
Even though the album doesn't contain a song as catchy as Clocks, or as shimmeringly beautiful as Shiver, this album is still one of the best albums to come out this decade.

Amazing lyrics, no bad messages being sent.
All of the songs are just... absolutely amazing. I mean, you listen to music to enjoy it, not to get some twisted message out of it, right? I think it's pretty stupid that parents won't let their kids listen to music like this because it is a generally dark album. Hey, this is better than them listening about Lady Gaga and some disco stick.. or whatever. (ew.) I recommend Strawberry Swing or Cemeteries Of London. Those are my favorites on the CD. Coldplay is legendary. no questions asked.

?????????????????. ????. ???? ?? ????. ????????????????. ?. ???????????.
I am simply baffled by the rating you have given this amazing album. You have misinterpreted the assumed violence. Chris Martin uses metaphor to express experiences; 'Every gun you ever held went off" means that every time the listener tried to do something, it went wrong. "I was held from the rooftops then they let me go" means that he was in a perilous position, and then the people he was confiding in betrayed him. This album is appropriate for all ages. I am starting to question where Common Sense gets it's singular point of view. The only reason I gave it a "Sexual behavior isn't appropriate" is because the lyrics for 'Yes' contain the phrase 'turn-on'. Themistocles2, elsewhere.

Best Song Ever!!!!!
This song is SO upbeat that I feel better after listening to it. Great job, Coldplay! There is nothing inappropriate in this song, yet there are no outstanding messages either. If you watch American Idol, look up "American Idol Viva la Vida" on YouTube search. Love you, Scotty McCrerry!

AMAZING!
It is called SURREALISM. Their lyrics are all metaphorical, it is really nice music and I recommend it to everyone. Really makes you think.

This album is great! Only a couple songs have bad things. These songs are "Yes", "42", "Cemetaries of London". You can barely understand the lyrics, but some of the music and world are beautiful.

Coldplay's Dark Side of the Moon, a masterpiece generations will enjoy
Despite the violent imagery, it's still clean Coldplay. This has got to be the high point of the band's career, to produce an album such as this. You just feel like you have been on a musical journey from start to finish.

How can they rate this song ages 14 and over?
Common Sense has bad ratings on certain things! In my opinion, anyone who likes this song-- well, maybe people like 8 and over -- should listen to it. It is such a great song! I am 12 and I listen to it! If it was ages 14 and over, I would have never listened to it! Common Sense doesn't know anything about this song if they rated it 14+. BUT I ADORE THIS SONG! GO COLDPLAY!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Best album, can't wait to see them in concert.
I love Coldplay and this album, and it really isn't inappropriate for anyone over 8. They are right about one thing, the lyrics are very deep, which is a good thing. I like Coldplay's music because you can listen to their songs multiple times and listen to something different each time. Personally, I interpret the songs differently every time. The instrumentals are also awesome, with powerful and broadly influenced bridges. All in all: AWESOME!

Viva La Vida- A Hit!!!
Though some may try to put down the internationally renound group for their new CD, "Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends", the songs quickly find their way back to the top. From the album's premiere on June 12 ('08), two songs have been successful in particular, "Viva La Vida" and "Violet Hill". "Viva La Vida" has been the first of the band's in which the song has ranked #1 in both the U.S. and U.K. The album its self sold 300,000 on the first day in the U.S. alone. The CD's title, "Viva La Vida", is taken from a painting by Frida Kahlo, the phrase means "Long Live Life". Now that you heard all the reviews and comments its time to hear all the hype for yourself.

What
Okay first of all it is age appropraite because kids will just sing to the songs and won't know what they're singing because kids at age 5-10 sing songs about poop. So my point kids don't care what they listen to.
