What parents need to know

Parents need to know that this song basically says that if people (particularly women) are hot and have a nice body, someone else will buy them anything they want. The lyrics proceed to list off many of the things -- from mansions and sports cars to fine liquor and clothes -- that a woman could get from hooking up with the right guy. In the video, a girl working in a fast food restaurant is whisked off to live the good life, dressing in sexy clothes, drinking Patron, and being showered with gifts. But in the end these Lifestlyes of the Rich and Famous scenes are all just a daydream of a female fan.

  • The premise of the song equates sex and being sexy with getting luxury items and lots of money. "You know them old sugar daddies, they be trickin', they tell them girls, I said you can have whatever you like." In other words, it tells girls that they can and should use their bodies to get fancy things.
  • Not applicable.
  • "Late night sex, so wet, it's so tight" is part of the chorus and is repeated four times in the song.
  • The "N" word is said three times.
  • The song is all about living lavishly and spending lots of money. "Want it, you can get it, my dear, Five million dollar homes, drop Bentleys, I swear, yeah... Five, six rides with rims and a body kit, You ain't gotta downgrade, you can get what I get, My chick can have what she want, Can go to any store, buy any bag she want."
  • The chorus includes two references to alcohol: "Stacks on deck, Patron on ice, and we can pop bottles all night."

What's the story?

The first single from T.I.'s upcoming album THE PAPER TRAIL, this single is a mid-tempo harmonic rap about a boyfriend (T.I.) who lavishes gifts on his hot, sexy girlfriend. The single was produced by Jim Jonsin of Lil' Wayne's "Lollipop" fame. It also includes samples from the Rocky II theme.

Is it any good?

T.I. lets his melodic vocal skills shine on this simplistic, indulgent track. Playing the sugar daddy character in the song, he moves between smooth vocals ("100K deposits, vacations in the tropics, everybody know it ain't trickin' if you got it") to deliberate staccato raps (I want yo' body body, need yo' body body). The track seamlessly incorporates the Rocky II samples, making this a radio-friendly light rap song.

What families can talk about

Families can talk about the messages that this song sends to women about body image, self-respect, and relationships. Families can also discuss how the media portrays wealth. Do you think most rappers live the extravagant lifestyle that they claim? Would you prefer to have someone buy you a fancy house or car, or would you like to earn it yourself?

Absolutely Awful Song to be Avoided if at All Possible
This song is awful. If you can stay away from it, do it. Almost all messages are bad. Keep your kids away from it too.

The edited version is more appropriate.
The edited version would be on for 13+. But i rated this on for 15+ because in the chorus they say... "late night sex, so wet and so tight" and they also use the N word a couple times. The edited version says "baby i can treat you so special, so nice" and all the N words are replaced with normal words.

Maybe not so great for tweens
It isn't talking about sex in detail, though sex is mentioned. Mentions of drinking also rasict words are used. It's a good song though, but I don't like the rasict language.I prefer the edited one because there's more pleasnt language.

Catchy
Pretty Good. Sorta Gets old after awhile. No f-words, just a few n-words. And for sex theres a lot in the chorus, "that thing get so wet and get so right", and "br*in so good" (which is in the edited(unless on radio). I'd suggest the explicit version for 15+/16+. Edited for 12+ (altho everyones already heard it)
