Positive messages: Feel-good songs should inspire kids to think positively. “If we build a world of happiness, and make this place it’s very best…everyone would be so impressed, we’re gonna do it one smile at a time.” "In the Details" reminds kids to notice the little things, "Just Ask" inspires initiative and Debbie Harry advises on both "Don’tcha Wanna Know" and T"he Patience Bossa" that opportunities for learning are around every turn.

A WORLD OF HAPPINESS brings together an eclectic mix of musicians and actors. From icons like Lou Rawls and Debbie Harry to modern stars such as Edwin McCain, Lisa Loeb, and Joan Osborne, the musical mix is as diverse as the sprinkles on an ice cream cone. But there's also some celebrity toppings on this sundae, and unexpected musical contributions can be heard from Magic Johnson, Gary Oldman, and George Wendt (just to name a few!). The compilation is the brainchild of Tor Hyams, who produced and wrote many of the songs on the album, whose proceeds benefit a host of charities including The United Negro College Fund, St. Jude Hospital for Children, and the Magic Johnson Foundation.

Like blowing bubbles, eating cotton candy, or watching a butterfly flit through the air, the experience of listening to this CD will send both kids and adults into a world of happiness. Maybe it's the eclectic mix of performers. Who knew Gary Oldman could sing an endearing children's verse? Or perhaps it's the variety of musical flavors. A standout soulful performance of the title track from Lou Rawls and a Bossa nova with Perry Farrell are just a sample of the fun. This CD is sure to get heavy rotation in the family stereo, even after the little ones are tucked in bed.

This CD is great for kids and parents, especially in the car.
We listen to this CD all the time in the car. My 3 and 5 year old love the characters and voices in the music. They sing along with the songs. It's fun! Go to *mommajam* for more information about the creator of this CD and Kidzapalooza.
