i find this show to be very entertaining. Some of the things shown are not appropiate for young kids, but kids that can get the humor will just enjoy it.

i am appalled
my 9 year old watches this show all the time and while there are some "ify" subjects in it, I never really had a huge problem. Until tonight. He was watching it and it was all about bras and breasts and how girls need to have bigger breasts to get noticed. I was appalled. This first of all isnt content that should be in a cartoon shown during the early evening hours on the childrens channels, and second of all, it is NOT what we want to be teaching our kids. They have enough peer pressure and stereotypes out there, do cartoons really need to relay this message as well????

This has to much adult humer and one episod menchions wanting to get his pants off even though most jokes are too complexed for kids it still sets a bad exsample for the ones that know too much for their age

Funny but not for children under 11
I came in and my children were watching this with their 15 year old babysitter and within the 1st minute there was reference to and I quote "parents hooking up" and "tongue kissing". This is not for kids under 11.

It has some bad words.Sometimes has alot of violence.sometimes can have a bad influence on kids.One time they made a pipe for pot.The show can probaly encourage kids to make fun of people more cause the looser thing and that stuff.And these are some reasons why this show should be 10+ unless they have parents permission

Basically its about a group of 6 Sixteen teenagers who hang out at the mall. Sometimes when things get bad they say "Oh Crap!" . When the teens go on dates they usually talk about kissing...

Perfect for Tweens & up, but may go over younger children's heads
I love this show. It's funny and fairly entertaining. The thing about it is like the Common Sense Media People said, "It has a diverse group." I love this show because of that. It also has a good storyline: teenagers that hang out in a mall and BE TEENAGERS! Of course, in a diverse group there will be sterotypicalities, but you have to live with them. That is part of the comedy. Jonesy (one of the teenagers) flirts with women and wants to see them naked, however, this show is animated and it is not that graphic (nor will it ever be), so there's the sexy stuff, and then for the language is the use of "ass" and "perv" and the ocassional 'playgroud' words like "shut up" and "you're a cow". But the highlights are definitely the positive messages about being yourself, and a good role model is somebody who makes mistakes, and EVERY lead roll in this show makes mistakes. The reason I rate it 11+ is because of the quality. The show was made for tweens, and it is obvious, so most young children would more than likely think that this show is "boring". Younger parents would think this show is ok, not the best, but not awful, and older parents would force you to turn the television off, teens would relate to it, but think that it was nothing new, so the show was aimed for tweens so that they could get a taste of being a teenager (and at that point they would get the comedy of it) and have fun with this show. 11+ and five stars to 6teen!

first of all zhp7654 is wrong there is no sex there is refrenses to sex but thats it also there is only one episoed were they say ass and this show is not about shopping i will admit that there is one character that does shop alot but this show is great

Excessive consumerism makes this show marked not for kids
As one might expect, this show is primarily about shopping. Episodes drip lots of consumerism for stores and restaurants (they're fake), and it's mostly about teens. There's also sex and language. DON'T WATCH IT!!!!

i like it alot
its realistic, very itneresting and it reminds me of TDI which is a good thing. theres some cute gay moments too haha and i like the use of words like "crap" because thats how respectful teenagers talk in real life

I absolutly loved it!
6teen is my favorite show.I watch it every time it is on.I agree with commonsensemedia,I think it is appropriate for 9+.I used to watch it when it was out in 2005 since I was 6 at the time I didn't get any of the jokes.I am watching it while I write this.P.S Jen is my favorite character.P.S.S Check out some more of my reviews,Thanks

Teen Comedy Success!
6teen really takes into matter what teenagers go through, instead of how kids view what teenagers go through. It also gives it a comical spin, which makes me eager to see what the next season has in store. I also enjoyed the theme song, which is really catchy.

Horrible show for kids.
I saw an episode where the boys were watching girls in the changing room and one of them said "hot blond about to take of her jeans man." I can't beleive the ammount of teen humuor in a childrens show. Come on parents you have to be morons to let your children watch this show. Also even if you do watch the show it has no entertainment value. Some of the jokes are idotic or innapeopiate. For instance one episode featured two girls having a "girl crush."
