What Parents Need to Know
About Darcy's Wild Life
Parents need to know that this series intends to give a spoiled rich girl a touch of reality by moving her from the city to a farm. The main character is goodhearted but not too bright -- in other words, a stereotypical dumb blonde. Her redeeming qualities are her positive attitude and genuine affection for others. There's no real depth here -- just a lot of giddy, goofy silliness.

Families Can Talk About
- Families can talk about Darcy's stereotypical character. Is she typical? Does she remind you of anyone -- famous or otherwise? Is there anything realistic about the series? Do the influences of city life create less of an opportunity to teach responsibility?

Not good, not bad
What an original plot! *sarcasm* A rich girl has to get a taste of normal life. Darcy is good-hearted, but she isn't exactly the sharpest crayon in the box. Typical dumb blonde stereotype. The show isn't very funny (only rarely it is), and the quirky situations that Darcy gets into get old quickly as they seem to recycle the plot with a new twist for each episode. And of course, what would a comedy be without slapstick humor? This show is good stuff for kids 7 and older. But be warned - you may lose a few brain cells watching this show.

O.K. ; Not Really Funny
There is some humor in Darcy's Wild Life, but nothing really funny. Darcy's life is unrealistic in the way that she is so full of Hollywood and fashion. Most of the local charcters are ridiculus and Darcy is too naieve for my taste. Darcy has little true personality or special interest. the best part of this program is probably the veterinary office.

Entertaining for all
This comedy treads on light water since it is aimed at a wide range of ages. It appeals to kids and adults can also not feel the need to leave the room or change the channel. Because of this, it brings adults and kids together in a rare treat of enjoying something together. Advanced animal information is provided by the veternarian and a teen with a special interest in nature is there to give his own input as well. Sara Paxton in the lead is sweet thou innocent in her take on her new farm life and therein lies the smile value for all.
