Parents need to know
Families can talk about reality TV shows. Why are they entertaining? Do producers follow a specific formula to garner laughs (or gasps of shock)? Why do regular people go on reality TV shows? What kind of values do reality shows promote? How does this series mock those shows? What is it trying to accomplish? When does spoofing something cross the line?
Message
Social Behavior:
This is a satirical look at the current reality TV roster, so the characters' faults -- greed, insecurity, jealousy -- are exaggerated cartoonishly (pun intended). Characters are also purposely one-dimensional, sending up stereotypes based on race, gender, and sexuality.
Consumerism:
Drugs/Alcohol/Tobacco:
Social drinking.
Violence
Guns are involved in some fight scenes; also fistfights and lots of name-calling. Flashback to a sexual assault.
Sex
Implied sexual intercourse; graphic depictions of straight and same-sex making out; some blurred/"censored" shots of animated nudity; characters' sexuality is always up for discussion/interpretation. Many of the female characters wear tight/skimpy outfits.
Language
"Shut up," "sucked ass," "that's gay," etc.

Is it any good?
Anyone expecting a feel-good animated show when they tune into Drawn Together will be sorely disappointed. The series -- which sometimes feels like a strange, hit-and-miss hybrid of South Park and The Surreal Life -- can be funny, but it's definitely for mature audiences only.
