Why We Rated This on for Ages 7 and Up

What to watch out for

  • Messages:

Duck Dodgers is a lazy, selfish hero, taking credit for deeds he hasn't accomplished.
  • Violence & scariness:

Futuristic weapons, mainly guns. This is a conquer-and-destroy show, although it's all very cartoony.
  • Sexy stuff:

Queen Martian is a risqué dresser.
  • Language:

Daffy (as Duck Dodgers) can be rude, but no swearing.
  • Consumerism:

    Not an issue.
  • Drinking, drugs, & smoking:

    Not an issue.

What Parents Need to Know

About Duck Dodgers

Parents need to know that this sci-fi cartoon has its fair share of mild violence, innuendo, and nagging humor. But none of these factors outweighs the show's positive, fun elements, which include humor and a sense of adventure.

Families Can Talk About

  • Families can talk about heroism. What does it mean to be a hero? How should heroes treat other people? Who's the real hero in this series, Duck Dodgers or Cadet Porky Pig? Why do we like Daffy, even though he's usually so selfish?
