The good stuff

  • Messages:

    All of the couples profiled are committed to their marriages, which is a good message in today's disposable culture.
 

What to watch out for

  • Violence:

    Fistfights are sometimes discussed as the stars deal with fans and get into rowdy situations.

  • Sex:

    Plenty of sexual innuendo. The frequency depends on who's being profiled; in the Sebastian Bach episode, for example, his wife was very open about their active sex life.

  • Language:

    Bleeped out curses galore, depending on the stars being profiled.

  • Consumerism:

    Not an issue.

  • Drinking, drugs, & smoking:

    Depending on the couple profiled, can run the gamut from very little to heavy drinking and smoking.
 

What Parents Need to Know

About I Married...

Parents need to know that this reality show centers around how stars and their non-celebrity spouses make their marriages work. Showing musicians and other stars who are committed to their relationships work is a nice change amid the typical dirt of other celeb-focused shows. That said, some episodes do involve excessive drinking, talk of drug use, and sexual innuendo.
