What Parents Need to Know
About Kaput and Zosky
Parents need to know that this cartoon based on the French comic by Lewis Trondheim is all about two aspiring alien overlords who want to pillage other planets. The show is full of potty humor and adult references and is fairly violent in a very callous way -- the main characters are always trying to annihilate citizens of different planets so that they can become the supreme rulers. Thankfully, they never succeed, since their egos and absent-mindedness always get in the way.

Families Can Talk About
- Families can talk about why Kaput and Zosky don't make very good role models. Why are the pair's schemes always foiled? Do they ever learn from their mistakes? Why makes their actions funny, instead of just mean? Families can also discuss why different cartoons are appropriate for different age groups, from preschoolers on up to adults. Young children may simply assume that all cartoons are for kids; parents can help them understand the differences between the varying types of animated programs.
