What Parents Need to Know

About A Little Curious

Parents need to know that this series does a decent job of teaching important concepts and exploring their various meanings through humor, song, and entertaining visuals. The series is probably best suited for the youngest of preschoolers, as older ones may find it a bit bland; the lessons are very basic, and the animated characters are far from being the most engaging or endearing you'd find on television (at least from an adult point of view).

I have three children, now ages 3, 13, and 16. This show originally aired in 1998 on HBO family for ONE season(1998-1999). But, has been re-broadcasting those shows for 11 years now. My 13 year old was two years old on the shows first airing/season and loved the show and watched it until he began kindergarden and couldn't be home to watch it anymore. Then, our youngest came alone and the 13 year old found 'A little curious' on the schedule and said "I used to love this show!" and he began recording it for our 3 year old. The 3 year old begs to watch it every day now. It teaches basic concepts. It is very basic and colorful to watch in a good way.
