The brainchild of Nick Cannon, an R&B artist/actor famous for his roles in Drumline, Love Don't Cost a Thing and Roll Bounce, WILD 'N OUT is an improv comedy show much like Whose Line Is It Anyway? (but meant for a more mature audience). In this version, two teams, Red and Black, go head to head in a comedy competition; Red is led by Cannon and Black by an invited guest (guests have included Kanye West and Method Man). There are four games in total, the first three adding up to one point apiece, and the final game, Wildstyle, earning its players one point for each insulting punchline slung in a "Hip Hop Comedy Battle." Between the improv segments are comedy sketches very similar to what you would see on MADtv or Saturday Night Live.
Is it any good?
While the comedy in this show can be entertaining for mature audiences, the adult themes in games such as "You Can't Say That S--t" make it completely inappropriate for kids. Bottom line: This show isn't for everyone, but the only people that should even be taking a peek to see if they like it should be at least 17.
