What to watch out for

  • Messages:

These sports reporters aren't good at their jobs, so some of their behavior is unprofessional. Team members include an Asian woman and an African-American male. Athletes and other sports personalities from different ethnic/racial backgrounds and genders are featured. Some men are heard making sexist comments about female athletes.
  • Violence:

Some shoving and pushing, but these actions cause no real harm.
  • Sex:

Some sexual innuendo, which should go over the head of younger viewers.
  • Language:

Swear words are bleeped out and the characters' mouths are hidden when they're saying them.
  • Consumerism:

Highlights various players and representatives from various professional sports teams from week to week.
  • Drinking, drugs, & smoking:

    Not an issue.

What Parents Need to Know

About Sports Action Team

Parents need to know that this comedy series is a parody of a sports interview show and caters to sports fans. The show's semi-improvisational nature leads to some strong language and storylines, and although much of the more-adult humor will go over the head of young viewers, parents may want to pre-screen. Parents should also know that this show provides some insight into what goes into a career in sports broadcasting and might be interesting to kids who are thinking of a career in sports journalism.

Families can also talk about their favorite sports teams and their favorite athletes. Who are the athletes that you most admire and why?
