Not the best for tweens and young teens
I personaly love this show since I am very much into anything involving local law enforcment and forensic scientists. I personaly have never been effected by dead bodies or gory scenes. I started watching CSI when I was 11. Most kids and teens however might be frightened or become uncomfortable watching some of the scenes. There are also some issues with language that parents might not approve of. Over all a lot of older teens and adults might enjoy this show but much younger than that and it might not be the best pick.

A good show with goot characters and role models telling kids not to do drugs, murder, etc.
While not being overtly violent, the gratuitous blood and gore will definately make some uneasy.

great crime show, middle school and up
I love this show! this is definitely a top crime show. but every episode does have violence that maybe iffy for kids 11-. there can be some sexual content but is generally not that bad. this can definitely scare kids 9-. but the detectives are good role models showing crime doesnt pay.

Great T.V show, but not For Kids!
This is my favorite T.V show. Although there is not much actual violence (there is still enough to make the show TV-14) , there are gruesome and realistic depictions of dead bodies. Sometimes the killer kills someone after sex so there are a couple episodes with couples kissing passionately. NOT for kids.

Great show
Great show. Gruesome in every episode, but unless you're absolutely squeamish, it should be ok. Like House, Grissom has some personality issues. He gets threatened to get kicked off of many cases and does get kicked off of several. But, hey, no one is perfect. There are frequent sex-orientated crimes and drug-orientated crimes, but flip on the news, and you'll be looking at a less interesting, more depressing version of how people die.

NO KIDS ALLOWED Tough Teens
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, along with the rest of the series, are as much as an inside of the crime lab as the regular citizen can get. This includes great but gruesome effects of crime scenes, reinactments(excuse spelling), and the suspense of mystery. There is swearing, but it is not a major concern. Do NOT let your children watch this show or any other CSI series. They would honestly be traumatized. As the title implies, this is for Tough Teens and Adults only. The messages aren't positive to any teen or young adult, but they most likely will not poison your teen's mind. This is definately violent and will include shootings, chases, and high action thriler. This series is a roller for 13+ and that is that. Shoot! Even I close my eyes sometimes!

Forensic Magic!
I have been watching CSI since I was 15. I like it, but I believe that it is somehow not good for preteens, as at this age they are thinking about what they want to be in the future and the techniques shown in this show aren't real at all.

Pretty Good
I honestly love this show. A little bad, since they often talk about rape and murder, and they often use the words b***h, a**, ect., but I have a younger sister who also enjoys this, so if your kid can handle mature TV shows, I'd strongly suggest this.

It a good show.
Its a good show but I rather watch NCIS because of the techie's reactions and she has the most funny moments :] I'm one of those people who likes to watch mysteries. Even though this could be fake, but might happned in the real world.

Excellent Procedural with Adult Themes
All the other reviews will tell you how tawdry things can be in Las Vegas. It is a crime-solving procedural, so things are often violent and sensationalized. The best part of the series is how it portrays the CSI team as a "work family." There are positive male and female role models on the CSI team, as well as perfect examples of what not to do/ how not to act on the victim/criminal side. Parents should take the opportunity to discuss the motive behind various crimes, the amount of education and dedication it takes to be a member of law enforcement, and the toll working in this field can take on a person.

Iffy
I like the show but some parts just give me the creeps.Like one episode the killer cut off the womans eyelids so she could see him kill her.Anyway it might give a younger child nightmares.
