Parents need to know that, on the surface, this farm-themed reality dating show seems like a safe family pick. But the farmer's old-fashioned "country" values are quickly eclipsed by sexually charged shenanigans that are too steamy for kids. Over the course of the series, for example, women soap up the shirtless farmer in an outdoor shower and refer to it as being "like a porno." There's also plenty of skin, as well as some kissing between the farmer and his dates -- and some typical reality show cattiness between the contestants.
Positive messages:The farmer's goal of finding a wife who shares his ostensibly simple values seems noble and genuine. But a few of the women are catty, shallow, and clearly just in the contest for their 15 minutes of fame. Some others do stand out as true-hearted contenders.
Violence:Tension sparks occasional arguments between contestants, but nothing physical.
Sex:The content is sexually charged but falls short of being graphic. The young farmer sometimes leaves his shirt behind and admits to not wearing any underwear. He also uses the word "sexy" a lot to describe his potential wives. A few women dress seductively, purposely enhancing their cleavage or showing more skin to attract the farmer's attention. On the flipside, two admit to being virgins.
Language:Words like "piss," "bitch," and "whores" are audible.
The party girls like to focus too much negative attention on the Christian girls. I assume they believe that just because you love God you are not suppose to get have a normal life but constantly be looking at the sky. Girls you can stay pure and still have a life without straddling the fence. No one is perfect and these other girls are ruthless and like to call names.. I personally wouldn't have a man that made me work like a dog to "prove" myself and I wouldn't want that image put in my little girls head, that this is what was expected of her. So my kids would defiantly not be watching this without knowing it was a crock..
