More useless Pseudoscience. Like our country isn't full enough of irrational crazies as it is. Well, at least it's on Sci-Fi where it belongs, and not Discovery, where it might be confused as actual fact. And at least it pretends to be scientific.
Good teaching lesson about working with your fears etc.
We like it as while they may be searching for Ghost, they are also very scientific in ways to debunk claims of paranormal- We don't miss any shows, and always talk about how they did their investigation of the place they were called in to help people. This show however may not be suitable for young kids though- It all depends on maturity of the child, One of the persons that is a member of this show talks about his fears of spiders, heights and other things he may be scared of, so we think it brings a good lesson in talking about your feelings and dealing with them.
I love this show. I especially love how TAPS investigates with technology, aims to catch real evidence, and tries to disprove all activity before they start throwing around words like "ghost," "spirit" and "haunted." They are very professional IMO. The show can be a little creepy; heck, it even keeps up at night sometimes, and I'm 18. =) I think it really depends on the individual child whether this show is appropriate for them to watch. It can be subtly creepy so I would not recommend it for children, but I would recommend it for teens. The TAPS members do curse occasionally (not a frequent occurrence) but it is always bleeped out; of course, it is still obvious that someone said a bad word, just maybe not what the word was.
One of our favorite shows! Makes you think, but not too scary for younger viewers. Both lead investigators are family men, and seem to be good role models, all language is bleeped out, but there is not very much they need to bleep. :)
I wouldn't say I hate this show, but it's just really boring. The actors put no energy into what they do (most of the time their just sitting down, standing in one place, or if they do hear something they barley ever make effort to figure out what is was). If the cast of this show had the spunk and dedication like the cast of Ghost Adventures does, it would probably be a more interesting show to watch. But until then im giving it a 1.
We love this show! Never miss it! This group goes into each hunt not believing there is paranormal activity. It's helped my son to debunk and see that there are causes to some of the things he thinks are paranormal. This has allowed him to not be as afraid of the dark.
Me and my family love this show.We all watch it together. My 9 year old really gets into it. What she likes about it is that when it comes to kids on the show they waste no time trying to help them. I think that says alot about the kind of people they are.
This show is great and is pretty much appropriate for all ages.My little brother who is four watches it with me and loves it.The only problem might be that some kids might become scared because because of the paranormal activity. It is a lot of fun to watch and just make sure you know if your child can handle it.
I won't miss an episode of Ghost Hunters. It ends up being me and my 9 year old and 13 year old in the bed watching it every week!! My 9 year old gets a little disturbed with the thought of ghosts, but she just tells herself that there isn't any such thing!!
Love spending time with them watching one of my very favorite shows!!
My husband and I watch this show and love it, even though it does give me the creeps sometimes, but we don't let your 11 year old watch it. I really think that parents need to make sure that they're kids aren't going to have nightmares after seeing things that may indicate that spirits walk the earth after death.
