It is my favorite sceince show and 2 favorite show of all time. I love how iteresting it is. Also it is the only show I know of that is not afraid to admit they are wrong and that they will test something over again and try not to be embarrassed. They to use the occasional "hell" but it is in context. Sometimes they do test myths where they have to get drunk in order to test it but they allways say how much they hate doing it because they know its bad for them. I was suprised and a little scared when I was younger when they were testing how powerful dropping a toaster (or any other electricle apliance) they showed a clip from one of the child's play movies. It was very violent and I was only 9 years old at the time and I was in the bassment with all of the lights turned off. But I guess I was just being the scaredy cat that I am. I actually saw the episode the other day and well I realized that it really wasn't that bad. So in the end it will recomend Mythbusters is okay for any child 8 years or older. Just make sure they know what will happen in the electricution episode!
I think this is good for everyone because it teaches how to think of science in a way that can be intresting rather than using a long science class to explain things and people falling asleep on you
OMG this is the best show on TV. The best mythbuster is Carrie. The only thing is that they say stuff like mild swears. Otherwise, this is the best show on TV. MY mom, dad, sister, and friends all LOVE it!!!!!
I LOVE this show it is so fun and cool but they don't show it on discovery channel much which is sad, or maybe they are just needing to come out with a new season. I love explosions, other than a few words here and there it is a great informational show!
This is a good show. There is some drinking and references to smoking, but it is almost always viewed in a negative light. I hardly think the show is violent, considering no one (usually) gets hurt. Swearing is very infrequent and most often bleeped out. Anything that does get past is very mild and never directed at another person. Adam, Jamie, Kari, Tory, and Grant are all good role models. They take every precaution to make sure the experiments are safe and and are nice people toward each other.
This is the best science show I've seen in a long time. The experiments are always given the scientific approach. Some myths have drinking involved, and language is occasional, but it still rocks. And don't get me started on the explosions!
There are some episodes which involve alcohol and getting drunk
We love mythbusters in our house. I have added an alcohol concern only because there are some myths which involve watching the cast members getting drunk etc. We generally skip those parts. I recommend parents pre-watch episodes to decide if they are appropriate or at least watch with the remote in-hand to forward "dodgy" parts.
We do enjoy seeing all the guys working together as a team to get the myths tested and it's getting my girls excited about math, science etc.
good:They do not have much violence except for a few small burns and cut but nothing bad. They do say "don't try this at home.
bad:They some times say bad words but not very many.
This show is really cool for all ages. There is some language which is bleeped out, and some violence during the experiments. All in, great for all ages, education, and overall: AWESOME!
