We haven't really had a chance to sit and watch this one because our 3 year old was really turned off (okay, so he sort of freaked out) by the talking hands with big oogly eyes. *shrugs*
The little bit that I did get to see was 'okay' at best. Not interesting.
We watched this show with my son as one of his first shows. At first glance, we were a little put off by the hands as puppets, but our son really liked the characters and they grew on us. The show is easy to follow with 3-4 characters, simple words, short segments, and a good message. It was a great first show for us. It was the one show that really held his attention and taught good life lessons. We would often find ourselves referring to the show: "remember how Oobi went to the doctor, we're going to see the doctor today too, etc" We'll be watching again with my daughter when she starts watching tv
Yes, I realize this may be a bit creepy too some of you because of the whole bare hand thing. I actually have to agree with some of you, but Oobi is a great show for babies on the other hand. Entertaining and original, the stories are cute and silly. Nothing too complicated for a toddler to understand and the show itself is all good. I don't recommend this for anyone over five, though, because it's too simple for them. Anyways, great show and more for the smaller age group.
This show is okay, it does teaches kids alot about our surroundings and our world but, there is only one bad thing I can say about this show. Oobi and his friends talk like this "Oobi you friends" and "Oobi leader", that might be bad because it might not help our children with there Charisma skills. So this show is okay it can teach us about our surroundings but might not have good Charisma skills for our children.
THIS SHOW IS TOTALLY SCARY!!! TALKING HANDS? TOTALLY CREEPY!!! PLENTY OF SMACKING AND PUNCHING! TONS OF BLEEDING! ALOT OF EPISODES HAVE THE C-WORD THE F-WORD AND THE S-WORD AND A-S IS USED ALL THE TIME! JUST SWEAR YOU WILL NEVER EVER WATCH THIS CRAP!
I have a 3-year-old, and she can't go through the day without seeing at least one Oobi episode. It's very funny and very sweet, and has a little something for everyone. The "flirting" between Grampu and Inka is especially amusing.
We all just want to know how Oobi poops? Yes, on some shows they do talk about poop. Oobi does eat and we teach our children how food digests, so how does he poop? And where does it come out?
We really like watching this show together. My husband will also pretend to be Oobi to get our daughter to finish dinner, get ready for bed etc. It's great!
I learned about this from a friend. It is SOO adorable and funny! The downside: "poop" is said in one episode. As in, "The baby pooped." It made me laugh hysterically!
The story is....ih wait, there isn't one. It's talking HANDS, thats right hands, doing RANDOM STUFF like PLAYING PIANO, and their eyes....ugh get me off hereeee.....
Yikes! This tops the charts of horrible children's shows. Seriously..talking hands? They all have speech problems, more understandable and forgivable for children, however when the adult hands are talking like cave-men, I cannot fathom a child learning anything but cave-man language and creepy behavior.
OMG I loved this show since I was a baby. Still watch it! Very entertaining to the little kids, good lessons, all characters are good role models and it has like THE BEST MESSAGES A KID CAN GET!!!!!!!! SO FLIPPEN AWESOME!!! Mathmadical I think about this show because it may teach math sometimes like Geometry. So good
