Parents need to know that this follow-up series to the Cartoon Network's original movie Re-Animated continues the story of a tween who can see and communicate with cartoon characters. While the adult characters are still a bit detached (mom's always busy with her space travels, and dad is a junior high counselor so out of touch that he could use some counseling of his own), the main character is now slightly more confident and able to stand up against peer pressure. Parents may not buy into the far-fetched plot, but there's nothing here, content-wise, to keep tweens from tuning in.
Positive messages:The multicultural cast includes two African-American characters in main roles. The lone parental figures are goofy and out of touch with both reality and their son. As a counselor at his son's junior high school, the dad enjoys good-naturedly mocking students and drawing attention to his son's lack of popularity.
Violence & scariness:Occasional cartoon violence includes blows to the head and exaggerated falls, but there's no injury.
i was on the show two times and they r fliming it at the same place they r fliming Idiana Jones. The people on the show are.. nice but the set isit that great.
This is quite possibly the dumbest show in the history of television. It is terrible. Nothing about it is good. The comedy is unfunny at best, the dramatic/romantic situation is just stupid, and feels tacked-on solely in an attempt to appeal to tweens. If they were smart, they'd see this for what it is: a sad and pathetic attempt to cash in on their demographic. For that alone, they'd be wise to skip this steaming pile.
i dont remember much about this show it was ok no the best but it only had 1 season not sure why i guess the people liked the movie better honestly i think i liked the movie better
This show is really dumb, the laugh recording is irritating cuz the show is not funny at all, the characters are boring and the cartoon characters are even more boring.. this show is not fun like Chowder or johnny test,
I wish this show would be taken off CN, i always stop watching when this show comes on,
This show is funny, and a blast, but there are still somethings to watch out for. The sarcasm is constantly displayed throughout programing, and flirting is easily translated. However, this show symbolizes creativity, making a positive educational message as evident as the flirting is!!
Re-animated was a fairly decent movie. But strangely, though, take some oddly new and unfamiliar actors for characters that have been used (and by different actors/actresses, may I just point out quickly) and some immature humor (rambunctiousness and screaming. Typical Mad-Cow effect on the mind) with a quick dash of unrealistic elements (i.e., a roller coaster in the house and seeing things that nobody else can) and you have this show in a nutshell.
Positive messages on friendship appear infrequently, but when there is, the migraine-inducing screaming from the other main and supporting characters merely washes it away.
DOMINIC JANES IS SO CUTE!! BUT THIS SHOW IS FUNNY AND IM MAD THAT CARTOON NETWORK TOOK IT OFF OF THE WEBSITE AND CHANNEL. EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS 20 EPISODES IT WAS STILL AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't remember much of this, but I do remember one part. At the part when Jimmy's head was cracked open.. and the cartoons came out creeped me out a bit when I was a kid I was all "o_o..." So, yeah this show is incredibly creepy.
A boy Jimmy gets hit by a train and then for some reason needs a brain transplant. He gets someone's brain and has hallucinations of cartoon characters, who don't actually play an important role in the show. The show's sad attempt at comedy sometimes make me cringe and the laughing track doesn't help. If they're gonna have a laughing track, at least laugh at the rare funny parts, not the corny other jokes.
The characters are unlikeable, Jimmy is like a 5-year-old girl and wouldn't survive in a real middle school, Craig likes to use his best friend to make money, and then Jimmy has an older sister who IS AN ALIEN? WHAT THE HECK? His mom (who is an astronaut) found her. His mom also OWNS A ROCKETSHIP thats his dad likes to fly. He crashes it, but sadly, does not die. Oh yeah, Jimmy's sister's boyfriend is a were-wolf (or just a wolf i forget).
Sonny Appleday, the "evil villain" of the series, is the worst of them all. He announces his plans out loud, ruining them. He wants Jimmy so he can take over the world (is it ever explained how Jimmy will help him take over the world? Nope!) so he tries to steal Jimmy's brain.
So, in the end, this series is Cartoon's Network's worst series. Oh I almost forgot! It's on Cartoon and yet its LIVE ACTION! Seriously, the tag-line was "CARTOON Network's first LIVE ACTION series." WTF? You get my point. -infinity/10
