What parents need to know
Parents need to know that this is actual police work being done here, and as a result, it can get pretty rough and pretty ugly. One suspect, for example, is mostly pixeled out, but you can still see the mucous flowing from his face. Expect some bleeped language, tense/violent scenes, and rough talk. Drugs and drug paraphenalia is often visible.
What's the story?
Like its sister shows in Memphis, Maricopa County, Arizona, and Broward County, Florida, POLICE WOMEN OF DALLAS is a basic reality show about police officers in action -- only the officers happen to all be women. And, perhaps not surprisingly, most of the work is the same you'd see on Cops, or similer shows. They catch drug dealers, prostitutes, deal with domestic violence calls, take in mentally ill people. Sometimes, the situation calls for compassion, sometimes for serious butt kicking. All this, with occasional breaks for scenes of the officers' home life.
Is it any good?
On its own, the show is reasonably interesting. But there just isn't much besides the officers, themselves, to create interest. And while the women are nice, decent people, they're also pretty normal in spite of their jobs. Not to mention that most crime on the show is petty and most criminals pretty pathetic -- which isn't the most interesting thing to watch. If this weren't the fourth iteration, it might be more exciting. Finally, one can't help asking -- are women cops really that rare that four shows are necessary?
What families can talk about
Families can talk about how real the show is. Can you tell what kind of editing has been done by the producers? What would happen if the show wasn't edited -- would it still be interesting?
Do shows like this encourage crime or not? In one episode, an arrestee obviously poses for the camera. Do you think the presence of the cameras changes what happens?

How did these women graduate grade school. They can't speak correct English. Some of them don't have the strength to impead a pickiter much less a killer. Some of them only care about how much of a man they can be. Dallas must hire on a quota system. Their only saving attributes are that have to deal with the family disputes that the real officers don't have the time or priority to.

AGE
This show teaches my kids that women can have a job other than making food and cleaning for their husbands. This could have a negative effect on the future of this country. Soon every woman will be wanting a job, no food will be made, and all the men will die out leaving only women to age and die.
