Commonsense's review pretty much covered Psych. If they'd bothered to spell Shawn's name right.(yes,it's shawn, not sean. The epsisode title w/his name say so,as do the credits.)I think the show would be okay for some young tweens, depending on how easily they scare. It didn't even phase me when I was twelve, for example.
Good for adults and older teens, but not kids or young teens.
I personally LOVE this show. It is so hilarious and brilliantly thought-out! I love the dynamics of Shawn and Gus and the witty, humorous dialogue between the two
Psych does have language in it, as well as a few sexual innuendos that occasionally manifests itself in a sensual scene.
Overall, I think this show has many positive points, but the negative things, make it unsuitable for young teens.
This show is hilarious! I get scared easily and there are two episodes that creeped me out: Ghosts and Friday the 17th. I could manage to watch all of Friday the 17th, but i had to stop in the middle of ghosts, but, like i said, i get scared easily. Overall, this show is very good.
Um am I missing something here or did everyone on this website pretty much just say they loved this show. I'm a little confused. Not that it's that bad or anything I just don't see how it's so great. It's not very funny and my whole family agrees with me. It you want to watch a good USA show watch Monk.
Psych is a show that has shockingly good puns in the middle of nowhere. It also is tremendously funny without those puns. Over all It is a 5-star rating on my behalf!
Usually good for 8+, sometimes 10+, depending on your kids.
A really funny show! Mostly good for kids 8+. There's some mild sexual stuff, but never explicit, so age appropriate. Violence is the main concern, sometimes the murders can be fairly graphic, but it's always appropriate for 10+. If your kids are particularly sensitive to violence, they'll be too distracted to see the comedy, so make sure they know it's all "not real".
Fantastic family show! I love watching this with my mother and older sister (16)- we have tons of laughs, and we love solving the mysteries together.
I remember first seeing an episode on the TV when I was 13, and had to turn it off because I was frightened by the dead bodies. I'm absolutely fine with it now, but beware that some images may frighten children and teens.
This is a hilarious low profile tv show, with smart jokes and multiple 80's movies references. I've loved this show since I first saw it, and I love the actors.
I think this show is appropriate for mature eleven year-olds.
This a really good show! THis show is about Shawn SPencer who is so good with senses he gets people to belive he is physic. Along with his friend Gus they solve crimes with the Santa Barbara police. Some mild cursing, flirting and sometimes a few dead bodies this is not really inapropriate.
This is one of my favorite shows, the main character Sean is is a child at heart, he lacks a sense resposibility. He starts a psychic detective agensy with his best freind Gus, a down to earth guy who keeps Sean from getting in to much trouble while he is solving casses. This is a great for teens and adults to watch.
I absolutely have just fallen in love with this show! Especially Shawn! It occasionally gets a little creepy considering most of the crimes they solve are murder crimes, but it doesn't show anything grody. This is one of the only shows I watch that doesn't talk about sex all the time! Which is fabulous! I just love the characters! Great acting! Rock on, Psych! :-)
Psych is the best show out there. It's really funny, with a romantic twist. The story line is great as well! It's suspenseful and keeps you at the edge of your seat the whole time. My dad, 12 yr. old brother and I love this show! My older sister and my mom like it as well, but not as much as we do. The sexual behavior isn't too bad, it just depends on the parents of the kid (if they think it's too much or not for their child). All in all I give this show a 10 out of 10 stars! It's a ridiculously funny, and there's a story line with all the characters behind it all. I think that Shawn is more of a positive roll model than not. Although he's not too responsible, he still has great intentions of helping people and being there for the ones that he cares about most. Juliet and Gus are also positive roll models in the show :)
