What parents need to know
Parents need to know that there’s no cause for concern in this funny, pet-centered show inspired by a line of greeting cards. Its revolving cast of characters makes it difficult to predict the content, and a few of the animals use their cuteness to hide a more troublesome personality (cats who steal food or one who tricks his peers into carrying out his wishes, for instance), but overall there’s little to keep kids from enjoying the funny side of viewing the world through the pets’ eyes. While there's little attempt to work specific positive content into the stories, there’s nothing truly worrisome, either.
What's the story?
THE TWISTED WHISKERS SHOW centers on a dozen zany animals and their off-the-wall antics. From a bear who suspects he’s had dealings with aliens to a small-headed cat with a disproportional sense of self-esteem, these definitely aren’t your typical house pets, but their penchant for trouble makes for some hilarious escapades.
Is it any good?
Inspired by a series of cards from American Greetings, these caricature-esque critters run the gamut on personality. Some are cute, some are conniving, some are downright odd, but the silly scrapes they get themselves into are just plain fun. Kids will enjoy the humorous take on the animals’ view of the world, and parents can rest assured that there’s nothing worrisome in the show itself.
True, positive takeaways play second fiddle to humor for the most part, but the show is harmless in reasonable doses. Of course, the fact that it brings to life characters that grace greeting cards, books, and a handful of other products might give your kids reason to start wanting the ones associated with their favorite characters.

Families can talk about pets. What responsibilities do you take on when you have a pet? How does that change based on what kind of animal you have? If you could have any pet, what would it be?

Wow, This is actually funny!
This show is the answer to the question I've asked myself so many times. What are those big-eyed pets on the birthday cards? I never thought they could be funny, but the show is great, combining slapstick with animals!

Strange show can be funny for some kids.
Hmm. I honestly do not know. Well, it is a weird show I can tell you that. Some young kids might like it. I guess tweens and teens might not like it. Some violence is put into this show, but it is very cartoonish. No worries.
