My 2-yr old's absolute favorite. Have over 20 episodes on DVR.

This may be the greatest show on television. My 2-yr old loves Foofa and Brobie more than food. The bands that appear as guests are starting to fill my iPod -- for me! The best thing about this show is that it teaches kids to look up to and respect people of all shapes, colors and sizes. Nicely multicultural. I hate to say, this is every morning's ritual...get woken up, turn on Yo, get myself ready for work...

2 year olds love it, great music and story segments...characters a little annoying

Although the character voices can be a bit over the top and annoying, the messages/themes are age appropriate and useful, the music is current and a great alternative to traditional kids music, the pace and nice, and the segments are fun. I especially like that it is only a 25 minute program. It makes it easier to shut off as opposed to sesame street that is also great but one hour.

Nice throwback, but a miss for kids

The design of the show is great. Great colors, great character design. Definitely pulls from oldschool Sid & Marty Krofft shows like HR Pufnstuf, Sigmund and the Sea Monsters or the Banana Splits. It's also a bit like an indie Sesame Street, with guest stars like Jack Black and great indie rock bands like Mates of State, Dean & Britta, MGMT and the Shins. Problem is: The show itself is geared toward the very young, and is extremely repetitive. It's actually better appreciated by the hipster teens and parents that enjoy the design and music. I love a good Bootsy Collins impression, but most of the appreciation flies over the heads of the supposed target audience. My 4 y.o. kid just kinda looked at it, and was sort of turned off by its odd energy. If you like, it's good for getting the blood pumping a bit, but pretty shallow otherwise.

Perfect for little ones & parents!!!

LOVE IT! Super fun & I cannot tell you how many of these songs help us throughout our day! It's absolute crazy business.. very silly. My little girl loves it & I appreciate the thought the producers put in to the messages each episode. "Goodbye.." "Clean it up.." "Don't be afraid.." "Dancy Dance!!.." It's our fave! But probably quite annoying for older kids- it's def for the little ones.

Great show for my whole family

We absolutely love this show as a family. Myself and my husband are generation-x-ers all grown up and this really strikes us as something seriously appropriate for our son, but also really cool. I think it sits well with adults without having any weird jokes to go over your little ones' heads. We love the songs. My husband wants to be Brobee. We love DJ Lance Rock. My son loves to dance to the music, and we love to dance with him. We think it's genius!

Best Childrens Show to Come Along in a While

I knew the instant I saw the promo spots for Yo Gabba Gabba, that it would be one of my, I mean, my childrens' favorite shows. It is full of color, music, life lessons, and most of all: fun! Everytime it comes on, my 2 year old daughter gasps and squeals in excitement. She knows most of the songs and cannot be seen without one of her five favorite friends. :) And my six year old son gets such a kick out of the music and cool tricks. I recommend this to kids of all ages.

The music is great! The messages are even better!

It get the kids moving, dancing and singing and they remember the messages which are very positive. I also like the diversity of the guests-children notice-5 stars!!! Also we have listened to the Wiggles soooooo much that my children are using their imagination and mixing those great beats with the Yo Gabba beats in their pretend band-funny!

    Strange but good

When I first watched this show, I thought it was a little creepy. Sort of like someone was tripping on acid and decided to create a children's show. But once I watched it the message was a good one--behavior, manners, eating healthy, ect. And my children like it! Ages 3 and 4-girls. They especially like Foofa the pink thing with a flower coming out of her head. This show actually reminds me of the Seals and Kroft shows from the 1970's. Similar to The Great Space Coaster but with a better healthier message for preschoolers:)

My son since he has started watching this show has learn quite a bit from the lesson taught. We record everyone and he watches them over and over. Wish there was more clean programs for his age. Thank you Yo Gabba Gabba!

An "updated" Fun & Active show for todays kids...

This show has great pacing and great topics for children to learn. It has a consistent flow that after a few shows children will find it familiar (as we all know, kids like routine) but they change the topics to keep it fresh. Speaking of which the topics... such as "trying new types of food" "sharing" "safety" "dancing" the list goes on... Overall an "updated" version of a kids show (with updated dance beats) to try and engage todays kids. Overall just a fun show for kids to watch... AND learn. Our boys love it!

    Yo Gotta Watch It!

I'm not quite sure why some of the reviewers state that children do not learn from this show...that is absolutely not true. In just the few shows that I've watched with my boys who are 3 and almost 2, they taught that biting is bad, veggies are yummy, sharing is fun, and the list goes on and on. Not only do my boys love this show, so do I! It's a nice change from the same old shows that air these days.

    Good interactive show–

Our kids [Almost 4] really like this show and my wife and I like it too. It's one of the more creative shows on the air–encouraging art, dancing and music as well as straight up social skills. The songs go a little too far in terms of repetition for my [adult] taste but maybe they'll tone that down if it's around another season. Bottom line: I think it's great and offers kids a variety guests doing a variety of things.

Can't believe Nick Jr. actually OK'd this garbage

What planet is the Nick Jr. executive from who OKd this garbage? Are you seriously going to tell us as parents that there's some psychological study that songs that repeat the same phrase a BILLION times are good for children. You have Blue's Clues, Backyardigans, Dora, Diego and this????? To borrow a phrase from Sesame Street ....'one of these things is not like the others....' Give my daughter another 1/2 hour of Max and Ruby over this crap!

This show is fantastic! I love watching it almost as much as my 2 year old. It keeps my very active sons attention and he loves to play jumpy jump and dance. I was a teenager in the 80's and can appreciate the music (I loved Devo and all that new wave), which I find refreshing in a childrens show. I think parents sometimes don't realize children in this age group don't need fancy props and sophisticated technology to convey positive messages. Simple, and somewhat rough around the edges is all they needs. It makes me think back to Electric Company and how 'hip' it was. I hope this show endures and those who think it is silly will come to see it is has a positive outlook, whether they like it or not.

One of the only 2 shows on Nick Jr. that doesn't suck

Disclaimer: This review might sound weird coming from a 15-year-old guy, but what the heck. Now that that's out of the way... Indeed, this is a show that both kids and parents can enjoy, but like Invader Zim, Batman Beyond, Justice League, Lazy Town, and some other shows, Yo Gabba Gabba also has a fanbase of teens and young adults (there are Brobee T-shirts at Hot Topic, for crying out loud). There are quite a few reasons why this show appeals to teens (like myself) and adults, not just little kids. For one thing, a lot of awesome bands have made appearances on this show, such as Shiny Toy Guns, The Aquabats, The Ting Tings, and The Shins. Also, stars such as Jack Black, Tony Hawk, Elijah Wood, Mya, and Mark Mothersbaugh (from the band Devo) have appeared. The visuals on this show are very trippy, ranging from cool 8-bit scenes to anime-styled cartoons in the Story Time segment. Super Martian Robot Girl is pretty neat too. Overall, this show is quite possibly the best preschool program in years. Any show that can entertain both little kids and high school students is a winner.

THERES A PARTY IN MY TUMMY! (so yummy so yummy)

Ok, I guess I may appear to be a little old to review this but I have seen kids, namely 9th graders who wear little charms of characters faces (like the green monster) and I figured why not. You can find YO gabba gabba pheriphinela in stores such as Hot Topic. It has a kind of cool sense burried in its kiddish show theme. I cannot get the song Party in my tummy out of my head. (Parents, that might be a useful tool to get your children to eat.) Just ask "Does corn want to go to the party?" or whatever food it is and they might just say yes. I have not seen a full episode but its cool techno style music and colorful characters will get your kids to turn off barney and get on the floor and dance along.

    Where do I start?

This show is such a monstrocity! I cannot even explain how much I hate it! It's the bain of my existence! Wierdo kids constantly say "My name is ____. I like to dance." for no reason! Oh, and those charachters....they're pshycotic. I just saw it today, and it was soooo annoying! They were singing "I LIKE BUGS, I LIKE BUGS!!!!!!" and saying "WHAT'S THAT? WHAT'S THAT?" THE WHOLE STINKIN' TIME!!!! One of the charachters dropped a piece of toast, and when he picked it up it started screaming "DON'T EAT MEEEE!!!" and then germs were chanting "WE ARE THE TINY UGLY GERMS, AND WE WILL MAKE YOU SICK!" Even my hamster hated it! Please, if you don't want your kids saying stuff like "I LIKE BUGS, I LIKE BUGS!!!" ALL THE TIME, don't let them watch this show. WARNING: If you or your child has epilepsy, DO NOT WATCH THIS. There are many colorful flashing lights and patterns that could trigger an epileptic seisure.
