Supervised, Iffy for ages 0-13. Somewhat Supervised, Iffy for ages 13-16. Somewhat Unsupervised, Iffy for ages 16-18. Unsupervised, Off for ages 0-18.
It depends on a maturity child. You must be 13 years of age. Coppa says "Chat is blocked by 12 and under, and Downloads are blocked for 15 and under, Do-you-know-that 13 year olds are not allowed to chat until mostly 18 and they strictly stay on IM?" If you sit with your child as a parent, then I'll give this site iffy for ages 0-13. You can accidently run across Violence, Inappropriate Content / Language, Commercials, Drug Abuse, Negative Messages, Safety Issues, and Un-appropriate Users. If they put in personal/private information, or a nearly child from a stranger, I will rate this site iffy for 13-18. COPPA says that "Most Sites who have an account is only for 13 and over--Children under 13 is prohibited from putting information, 13-17 can add some information, 18 and over should be in any area to view adult content, and Don't worry about 12 and under's conversation". I recommend Educational, Positive messages, Appropriate Users AND No Safety PROBLEMS! When your child is 13 to view most PG and PG-13 movies for an example. 17 or 18 year olds then see most R rated movies. some people would let some 10 year olds watch an R film they're acting mature. I never'd watch a show. because the child should be discouraged from viewing adult content. However, I do not recommend completely unsupervised use, especially for a long period of time. I would say unsupervised use of the site will be unacceptable for 0-18, questionable for 18-21 and acceptable for 21+. xxx Game Over, Man: 12 and under, 13-15, 16-17, 18 and over xxx this is parental control. if your child is mature, or there are other internet filters put in place, children as young as 13 or 14 may be able to use Shockwave without adult supervision. Most Daughters do Doll Stuff and Most Sons do Action Figure Stuff--for schools...sometimes daycare and preschool: find most appropriate stuff. elementary: find any correct things. keep MATURE content out of their minds. junior high: Flag games even in high school.
