What Parents Need to Know
This review of Disney's Extreme Skate Adventure was written by Patrick Mauro
Parents need to know that your kids will love this game, but keep in mind that McDonald's is heavily promoted, as is Disney and Nokia.
Families Can Talk About
- Families can talk about the strong marketing in the game. Did you notice the product placement in the game? How could the developers have changed the game to leave out the ads?

What’s the Story?
DISNEY'S EXTREME SKATE ADVENTURE uses the Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4 game engine and adds family-friendly characters from recent Disney movies (Toy Story 2, Tarzan, The Lion King).
The game consists of levels, each with a series of goals that need to be accomplished.
CloseIs It Any Good?
In the past, the combination of the Disney license with a sports title usually resulted in a bad video game. But here , Activision has produced an excellent game for all ages.
Unfortunately, product placement is alive and well in Disney's Extreme Skate Adventure. One of the goals is to deliver McDonald's food to folks strewn across a level after which you will achieve Ronald McDonald clown feet. Another goal is to collect ring tones for your Nokia phone in a certain period of time. And the game's soundtrack is straight off of Radio Disney with songs from Smash Mouth, Reel Big Fish, and Lil' Romeo. But, poduct placements aside, Disney's Extreme Skate Adventure will keep your child engaged and entertained.

Iffy Music Lyrics and Great Gameplay
Probably the thing that struck me the most was the messages. This game has music that includes lyrics saying "I don't want to grow up," "get off my back," "I'll do whatever I want," etc. to emphasize the mood of the skater. Also, lots of consumerism. Nokia, McDonald's, skate park facilities, video game companies, and others all have logos, mentions, and are advertised throughout the game - especially Activision and Toys for Bob, the creators of the game. Surprisingly enough, Disney is probably the least-advertised company in the game. The lyrics are iffy (especially the rap songs) and violence and language is low. Very good game.

EXTREME SKATE ADVENTURE
The game DISNEY'S EXTREME SKATE ADVENTURE is a good, playable game but the writers of CSM are right, I felt like I was in commercials for McDonald's and Nokia etc. Age Group: 6 +
