Great movie for adults, but please note that THIS MOVIE IS RATED R and it deserves this rating. It's a sweet, heartwarming movie, but with definite adult themes and plenty of explicit sexual situations. If this offends you, don't see this movie. And definitely do not let your children watch this movie! (But we loved it!)

Wonderful! Great for older teens, not for younger teens/tweens.
Both my 16y/o and my 12y/o saw it, but it was far too mature for my 12y/o. There is a great deal of sex/sexual situations in the movie, as two characters are stand-ins for a very sexual movie, and it took a great deal of explaining to my second daughter.

Not appropriate for any age group.
Hated it!!! The language and sexual content was so offensive that we left the cinema after the first 20 minutes of the film.

Wonderful...
I love this movie--it always warms my heart. Yes, there is plenty here that could be offensive, but it IS rated R, and it is NOT a children's movie! The love and heartbreak in this movie reflects the situations that people often find themselves in. Well, with the exception of the couple that meets because they are stand-ins for porn actors. There is nothing that I don't love about this movie!

This movie was DISGUSTING...........NO KIDS..NO ONE!!
I'm sitting there in the audience expecting to laugh and all I got was embarassed and angry. I suggested to my Mother-in-law that we leave several times but she wanted to wait and see if it got any better. It NEVER DID. Overall I hated this movie, and i felt that there was too much going on. it wasn't very clear, who was related to who and how...i had a hard time remembering what storyline went with which character. they could have done a better job if they cut out a couple of storylines, and elaborated on the ones that were more interesting. There were tons of VERY cheesy parts. I hate to start expecting that from a romantic comedy. there was definitely uneccessary profanity.and then there was the nudity, which was part of one of the storylines. They could have done without that. I do feel that a stronger warning on this garbage is needed. So bitter old hags, snot nosed twits and any one else who doesn't want to waste an afternoon or their hard earned money take heed. For snot nosed twits heed means be warned. If you want to get into the Christmas Spirit watch the classic version of It's a Great Life. If you have ANY brains or taste this one won't do it for you.

offensive sex scenes
Wow, I thought this movie really could have done without the "movie stand-ins" story. I suppose some would find it to be funny but I found it just plain offensive. It wouldn't have changed the movie much if it were left out. There are some good stories that are sweet, fuuny and inspiring (and some good music, too) but most that were o.k. or disappointing (e.g. people cheating on each other.) I don't believe this movie was anything as good as the hype it was given.

Constant sexual content not appealing to family
The focus of this movie was about sex-not what we had expected. Very offensive to many in the audience. Definitley not for children.

Too many characters...
Overall i liked this movie, but i felt that there was too much going on. it wasn't very clear, who was related to who and how...i had a hard time remembering what storyline went with which character. they could have done a better job if they cut out a couple of storylines, and elaborated on the ones that were more interesting, but maybe that's just me. there were some VERY cheesy parts, but you have to expect that from a romantic comedy. there was definitely profanity, but at times it was used in a humorous way, and there was nudity, which was part of one of the storylines i think they could have done without. oh yeah, and what was with the random cameos at the end? i have to put in a warning, that this is not a movie to see if you're a bitter old hag. anyway, it was very cute and definitely the movie to get you into the christmas spirit if you're not already in it.

- I rate this title iffy for age 13 and give itMy concerns are:
- Inappropriate sexual content
- Inappropriate language
- Drinking, smoking, or drug use
- My highlights are:
Little iffy for young teens, but awesome movie
A fantastic movie. Some scenes are VERY inappropriate, but just skip past them for kids, they aren't important. Also, the bad language can be ignored. Happy messages about love and kindness. Verging on corny, but it is a chick-flick so...what do expect? If you're older than 14 this is a great movie to see.

One of my favorite movies
I have read all of the comments about this movie. It sucked. Their was to much language and sex for a kid. Etc. Etc. 1) If your kid is in middle he or she has heard worst trust me. About the issue of sex. I agree there is too much sex but if you don't want your kid to watch that part SKIP IT! that's what I did. I saw the whole movie except for that one part. This movie is amazing because it shows all types of love, not just man to women but sibling love, affairs, young love, and many more. This movie will tug at your heartstrings. I recommend that if you have a kid that is thirteen let them watch it, just skip the sex scenes. They will like it and will thank you for letting them watch it.

WHOA!!!!!
WHOA!! Bring out the earmuffs, earplugs, the whole thing!! I don't care what school you go to this movie was one of the dirtiest, foulest, most profane I have ever seen. A couple story lines where good but, at one point there is a point blank shoot of a couple having sex. A man is cheating on his wife. I think parents should really step back and think about their kids and the exposure they've had so far. Sure the language is bad, but kids nowadays have heard far worse. Its the sexual themes and overtones that make me turn on the red lights for this movie. To tell you the truth, I wonder why I was even allowed to watch it.......

Due to an incredible cast (including Hugh Grant, Colin Firth, Laura Linney, Emma Thompson, Liam Neeson, Alan Rickman and Kiera Knightly) and an intricate story line full of sub-plots, Love Actually is the best and most enjoyable romantic comedy of the season. The film consists of about eight couples, whose stories (of either first loves, deceit or a bonding experience between father and step-son) are interwoven through friendships or past aquaintances. Although there is profanity (sometimes in British slang), Love Actually will leave you with a warm feeling and wishing for Christman to arrive early.

LOVE ACTUALLY
If you noticed, I put NO for "your age" section. I think I was mature enough to watch this movie, but some might not. Yes there was a scene of nudity and some swearing, but I hear more swearing at Junior High, and I own the American Pies. Anyway, this is a cute and WONDERFUL with a capital W christmas romantic fluff comedy.
