Parents' Guide to Trapped

Parents need to know that the 2002 film Trapped has a star-studded cast, a plot involving a child kidnapping, language, and violence. A little girl is drugged and kidnapped, and when she awakes, she's both scared and at risk of stopping breathing from severe asthma. She and her mother cry and scream when they're separated. Her mother is struck by the kidnapper, who plans to force her to have sex with him. Instead, she cuts him with a scalpel. A car and airplane chase involves multiple crashes, overturned vehicles, and an explosion. A man repeatedly cuts the engine on a small airplane, nearly crashing twice. A character is killed by gunshot; others are threatened. A woman hits a man across the head with a crowbar. A man paralyzes a woman with an injection into her neck that could kill her if he doesn't reverse it (which he does). Language includes "f--k," "s--t," "goddamn," "son of a bitch," "jeez," "crappy," "a--hole," "hooker," "Christ," "for God's sake," and "Jesus." A character downs a bottle of wine.
