    Just Another Search Engine

Seriously? No kids? It is a search engine (*cough* not as good as Google *cough*. Any search engine lets you access porn, hell, even Google has an app now that produces a thumbnail for your search results (I'm not so sure about it playing a video on hover however, that might just be Bing); if you can't trust your kid enough to use a search anything, how do you think any school work, any essays, research projects may get done? Now, sure, there's porn out there in the world (WE GET IT, the world is a "bad, bad" place *Oooooh*), but, d*** it, if we cannot get past a silly little matter as "This might let my kids look at porn," then we are doomed. That's like taking your kid to a convenient store, and noticing the cigarettes behind the counter, and then rushing them out saying, "Oh, these might give you cancer if you are even staring at them!" Parents, get over yourselves. Your kids are kids. That's how it has always been, and always will be. Seriously.

you can easily find porn on any search site and truly it won't damage you children if they find it anyway. I'm perfectly fine.

    Not the best search engine

All I can say is, without any type of Safe Search on, you're bound to get some type of pornography. Even if you search a random words, it will still come up with something. I have noticed this doesn't happen with other sites like Yahoo or Google.

    CSM is wack.

Honestly, if your kids want to find porn, they will. It's not that hard to type in "nude chicks" in ANY search engine. Also, this engine sucks. Google is the best, period.

    Bing is a Search Engine

It seems like Bing makes porn access easier, so that does raise some flags but it shouldn't make the website "Not For Kids". What a double standard it is that "sex" gets a red content rating, but "violence", "language" and "drug/alcohol/tobacco" have no content rating at all. There are some impressionable teens out there that want to watch graphically violent videos and videos containing graphic depictions of drug abuse, not just porn. It's possible to hover over any website and find explicit language. Mature teens who aren't obsessed with sex or any type of questionable behavior can handle Bing. That's why I set the age at 16.

Blame your child - not the website!

This is absolutely ridiculous, honestly. Because a child COULD type in something pornographic and find porn, it's bad? I'm sorry, but that is your CHILD at fault, not the website. I know parents these days will blame everything before their perfect little angel of a child is at fault, but honestly. If you don't search for porn, you won't find porn. Your child being a pervert and searching for porn is NOT Bing's fault, it is your child's fault, as he or she is the one searching for it. And, by the way? "type “adlt=strict” after all search terms" is not only for IT people. Seriously, you consider having to type in 10 letters and an equal sign as "will make sense only to IT people"? Wow. Just... wow.

It's time to stop underestimating teens.

Listen- we're smarter than you assume. Sure, sexual materials are available on the web. It's merely a function of society. But to consider bing, a search engine a website that encourages this activity is outrageous. Yes, we're not adults, and perhaps parents are set to protect us. But underestimating our judgement isn't going to do anything. Adults don't seem to realize that we're conscious of the reciprocation of our actions. We don't need the internet censored, and especially not search engines like Bing.

    For everyone, anywhere, anytime .

Up there, the informmation is idiotic, i think this website should be available to children everywhere. It is something like google, and yahoo. Go to bing.com now and tell me if you see anything innapropriatte! It is the COMPLETE SAME as aol.com , comcast.net , netzero..... . Just like regular home pages that your kids will see every time they use the internet. They all have the " dating " section, but would you kids be interested to click it? Ask them! And go to bing.com now, and see IF THERE IS A SINGLE INNAPROPRIATTE THING!!!

Hey Guys, lets rate a search engine 17+ because you can find porn on the interent! (Horrible Idea)

Really? Why not rate Google 17+ then? Common sense media, you've done it again, in a bad way. This is just another search engine, i like the video preview features, but it's not much different from google. If you parents can't give your kids the simple talk about sex being natural if they do come across porn (and if your gasping to sue or blame Microsoft for exposing their "innocent" eyes to what you call "Horrible perversion" when its probably something as simple as sex), then you shouldn't have kids in the first place, their gonna see sex, and want to see it (as teens) anyway. No big deal as long as they know the risks with sex.

    Its a search engine!!!!!!!!

Almost all search engines have these features that are soooooooo bad!!!!!!!! Bing is the fastest search engine so far! If you are really worried about this, get the bing toolbar in place of the google one, so there is no need to go to the homepage.

    Innovative and Useful

It was insane about what "CommonSenseMedia" rated it. Heck, not for kids, It is a search engine for heck sake. Any search engine you go to whether it is Yahoo, Google or Bing is able to view sexually explicit content. A search engine is able to find anything whether is sexually explicit content or just plain research hence the name. A search engine is based on the users morality values and/or whatever they're searching for. Bing is a useful search engine that in my opinion surpasses Google (not in hits) but rather effeciency. 5/5

    An outrage!

It is stupid that Microsoft didn't filter some of the porn and what ever. After an Internet Explorer update a few days ago, Bing became our family's main search engine, and if there is porn on it, my brother or sister could stumble across that stuff by accindent. Anyway, this should not be used by kids. FIX IT MICROSOFT!!!!!!

What is wrong with Common Sense?

How can you for a moment even consider giving this a bad review because you can find porn on it! Are you that stupid? Are you that nieve about the internet? Bing is a search engine. You can use it to find anything you so choose. By saying this website is not for kids, you are damning every search engine on the web. Kids don't find porn by accident. They find porn because they were looking for porn. I hope you don't have kids and that no one follows the advice of this website.

I'm Surprised I'm Not Dumber Than I Am Using This Website!!!

Okay, I have never used Bing in my life and I probably never will, but I just want to tell you what I think of your review, CSM. It's total crap! How can you say that a search engine is NOT FOR KIDS just because you can find sexual videos on that site! So? It's a freakin' search engine! If you searched "man getting torn to pieces" you would find pictures of a man getting torn to pieces, if you searched "full episode of Barney," you would find a full episode of Barney! It's the same thing for Google and YouTube: a search engine is too broad to give a content rating because it has so much different content in it. Believe me, my parents saw inappropriate material on Google once and they thought nothing of it. They didn't BAN me from using Google! For this review, CSM isn't talking common sense!

    What aree you talking about?

WHAT ARE YOU PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT? YOU GODDA BE KIDDING ME. YOU MARK A MICROSOFT SEARCH ENGINE AS NOT FOR KIDS! THATS RIDICULUS! I GO ON BING ALMOST ALL THE TIME WHEN I GET ON THE COMPUTER. YOUR TELLING KIDS TO NOT GO ON THIS WEBSITE JUST BECAUSE IT ALLOWS YOU TO TYPE IN WHAT YOU WANT? THATS CRAZY AND STUPENDOUS!
