  • Is it any good?

    3.0
  • Common Sense says

Garden-themed virtual world sows seeds of social networking.

Why We Rated This on for Ages 7 and Up

The good stuff

  • Educational value:

Kids learn the value of working at something (even though it's a game in this instance) to be able to earn currency to buy things.
  • Messages:

Kids can become friends with other members, join in on games with other players, and engage with them to buy and sell items. An "ignore" button for friend requests might be hurtful for many kids.

What to watch out for

  • Violence:

    Not an issue.
  • Sex:

    Not an issue.
  • Language:

    Not an issue.
  • Consumerism:

Kids earn "orbs" as currency which they use to purchase seeds for their garden or items for their treehouse. They can also sell items for orbs. There's no outside advertising on the site, and no real shopping.
  • Drinking, drugs, & smoking:

    Not an issue.

Families Can Talk About

  • Families can talk about all the different virtual worlds there are for kids. What makes them fun? This site has an "Ignore" feature in the "Friends" menu. Is it easier to just be ignored, than to have someone tell you that they're going to ignore you? This Web site lets you sell items to earn more of the local currency. How do you decide what to sell?

    A Must-Play Game!

When I originally signed up, it sent an E-mail. Well, I looked, and it sent the E-mail to the Spam folder. Anyways, here's the Pros and Cons. Pros: Cartoonish Avatars, Nice Detail, Fun Mini-games, and it's Brand-New! Cons: It sends the E-mail to the Spam folder, which some people don't check, there's still a few bugs (Mostly with Orbs) and it's kinda difficult to get Orbs. Overall, 4/5.

    This site stenches!

It doesn't work! You go through the whole join thing and it says it has to send you your email thingy, IT NEVER DOES!!! And then when you try to log in it says, "Error. Log in name or pass word." It's terrible!
