What parents need to know

Parents need to know that this site promotes the cute banana character created by entertainer and Hollywood voice-over artist Debi Derryberry, most famously voice of Jimmy Neutron. The site won't win any educational accolades, but if your preschooler has seen one of Derryberry's live shows or is a fan of her award-winning CDs, or has read the Baby Banana book, they will likely enjoy checking out this site with you a time or two.

What's it about?

MYBABYBANANA is the promotional site for the new book and music character created by child entertainer and Hollywood voice over artist Debi Derryberry. With a relatively new Baby Banana book on the market and an upcoming CD to promote, this site is more about getting this character and its friends a presence on the Internet and to sell the products than it is to develop a strong, educationally appropriate site for preschoolers.

Is it any good?

 

This is a cute site with a cute character created by someone who obviously loves entertaining children. Especially if your child is already familiar with Derryberry's live shows, CDs, or books, it's worth one visit. Print the coloring pages, play the two games and watch a couple of videos. But this won't be a site that gets a lot of repeat visits from most kids unless it get more interactive and less promotional.
