Curious George
What's the Story?
CURIOUS GEORGE follows the adventures of an inquisitive and fun-loving monkey and his human friend, the Man with the Yellow Hat (voiced by Jeff Bennett). George's (Frank Welker) insatiable curiosity about the world around him leads him into some hilarious situations and challenges him to solve the problems they inevitably create. As he does so, George learns to take responsibility for his actions, to clean up his messes, and to acquire the new skills each scenario demands.
Is It Any Good?
Everyone's favorite domesticated monkey returns for more antics in this series that proves some characters just never get old. Curious George always entertains, perfectly capturing the nature of a preschooler's sense of curiosity and embarking on mostly self-guided escapades to satisfy his sense of wonder. Because he doesn't speak, a narrator offers context to his actions and insight to his thoughts and emotions.
Despite his best intentions to stave off disasters, George's experiences always lead to mischief of one kind or another, but that never seems to discourage him. Kids can learn a lot from his ability to think on his feet and to bounce back when things just don't go his way. Mostly, though, George's adventures just entertain in a pleasant and humorous way that's fun for preschoolers and their parents.
