STORIES PODCAST has one simple focus: to entertain "kids of all ages" with gentle, entertaining stories. The show's host performs both classic stories – including adaptations of folk tales from around the world – and originals. Sometimes a given story only hopes to entertain listeners with a bit of imagination. But more often than not episodes are full of moral lessons that help propel children's social and emotional development. There are hundreds of different stories from various categories, so kids can pick and choose. Some stories are marked "sleep series", making them perfect bedtime anchors. Others have multiple chapters, so families can treat these episodes like a book and take in a bit at a time.

Although not every episode of Stories Podcast features life lessons, most of them have a moral or social emotional undertone. True to its promise of being "a bedtime show" for everyone, Stories Podcast stays fairly light and airy with its content.
