"As committed advocates for the well-being of all of America’s children, Common Sense is deeply disheartened by the President's decision on DACA. It runs counter to many of our nation’s most cherished values. It places in jeopardy the lives and futures of hundreds of thousands of young immigrants who were brought to this country by their parents but who are not accused of any wrongdoing today.

"These young and aspiring people, known as Dreamers, live in our neighborhoods, study in our schools, and work in our businesses. For many of them, the United States of America has always been their home. It is wrong to penalize these young immigrants for the myriad failures of Congress and the Administration to reform our broken immigration laws. Congress and the Administration should be protecting the Dreamers, not taking them away from their families, friends, and futures. This is common sense."
