Common Sense Media and Strava Partner to Advance Digital and Physical Well-Being for Kids and Families
Joint initiative unites leading children's advocacy organization with largest online active community to promote digital and physical well-being
SAN FRANCISCO, March 19, 2026—Common Sense Media and Strava today announced a collaboration focused on supporting the digital and physical well-being of kids and families. The partnership brings together Common Sense Media's leadership in online safety and education with Strava's fitness platform to encourage healthy relationships with technology and movement.
The collaboration will kick off at the Common Sense Summit on Kids and Families on March 23 with a free Community Wellness Walk open to Summit participants of all ages, backgrounds, and fitness levels.
"Digital and physical well-being are two sides of the same coin," said Common Sense Media Founder and CEO James P. Steyer. "In today's always-on world, it's critical that kids and families take some time out of their day to unplug and unwind. Building healthy tech habits means setting healthy boundaries, and this partnership with Strava is a step toward making that a reality for more families."
After a day of insightful conversations on how social media, AI, and technology affect youth mental health and more, the Wellness Walk will give Summit participants the opportunity to step away from screens, reflect on the day's discussions, meet like-minded people, and spend the early evening on the San Francisco Bay after a day spent indoors.
"At Strava, we know that being active transforms lives," said Strava CEO Michael Martin. "Our community of nearly 200 million people is living proof that when people move together, they motivate each other, build deeper connections, and feel better. We're proud to join forces with Common Sense Media and champion those values on and off the platform, and help families discover the difference that daily movement can make."
The Wellness Walk will begin at 4:45 p.m. on Monday, March 23, after Summit programming has concluded for the day.
The collaboration reflects a shared commitment between Common Sense Media and Strava to promote positive digital habits and active lifestyles for families. Together, the organizations will explore additional opportunities to support families in building healthier relationships with technology while fostering real-world connection through movement.
