Common Sense Media Announces Leadership Evolution with Ellen Pack Named Co-CEO

SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 16, 2025—Common Sense Media, the leading nonprofit organization dedicated to helping kids thrive in today's digital world, announced that Ellen Pack has been appointed co-CEO alongside Founder and CEO James P. Steyer. Pack will also join the organization's Board of Directors.

Pack, who previously served as president and chief operating officer, brings extensive operational and business experience to the role, as well as a proven track record of driving organizational growth and impact. In her new role as co-CEO, she will partner with Steyer to advance Common Sense Media's mission of ensuring that all families feel prepared to help young people navigate today's technology and media landscape.

The organization also announced it will begin a comprehensive search for a new president to join its executive leadership team. This addition will further strengthen Common Sense Media's ability to address critical issues at the intersection of media, technology, and child development.
