Just don't spend money on it.
It's an ok book, but please keep it away from your children. It's family friendly, and the story is ok. However, the character designs in the book are really lazy, as they're just ripoffs of characters from Doug's previous works, Bill literally looks like Willie Trombone from the Neverhood, the neighborhood bully kid looks like if Earthworm Jim went through an emo phase and caught a cold, and so on and so fourth. Also the author is a racist, homophobe, and transphobe. So if you want to read it, either pirate it, or get it from a library.

Cardboard is pretty nice
Storyline easy to follow, with role models prevalent, and funny and awkward moments have you gripped the whole through

Great for kids who like graphic novels and making stuff
The ending is sad, but surprising. The story was interesting because the cardboard creatures were cute. It was funny. There were no swears or blood and guts.
I wanted to make my own cardboard creatures after.
Kept my attention and didn't take too long to read.
