Really intriguing

This is my first Faith Erin Hicks graphic novel and I would say that it was really good. It's something really fun and relatable to some extent. I like the art style and it really suits the tone of the story. The references to the movie Alien made me happy upon seeing them, as that is one of my favorite movies. I did take off a star because the moral of the story and lesson did not seem very clear at first until I read the book another time. Besides the fact there is a small amount of cursing, one reason why I think tweens and older would enjoy this book is because of the aforementioned hard-to-understand-moral. Another is that it may be hard to relate if the reader is just in elementary school. Overall, I would recommend and probably check out more graphic novels from the author.

As a 12 year old girl, I enjoyed this book. It has no sex or drinking. Younger tweens can really relate. That is just my opinion.
