Good Historical Overview
We enjoyed this overview of influential author Harriet Beecher Stowe. We used it as a read-aloud when doing a unit on slavery, abolitionists, and the Underground Railroad. It does include sad things that happened both in Harriet’s life and in history, but my sometimes sensitive eight-year-old had no problem with it.
