Katie didn’t exist

Katie didn’t exist. Emmie was crazy and made her up because “Katie” had the life she wanted. It’s specified in the end of the book, though younger readers may not understand, which is why Katie isn’t even mentioned in any of the sequels. Otherwise another cliche book about middle school, still liked it though. The sequels are much better

Meh

I first read this when I was 8 and then again recently. I enjoy violent, gory, action-packed, exciting books that leave you on the edge of your seat *cough* Hunger Games *cough*. This book isn't one of them. There is hardly any plot. It's about a girl who has a crush on this boy and she writes a fake love note or something. It was pretty boring and it was hard for me to stay interested in it. But if you liked this book, there are three more after it. Yay. :-/

Wonderful and relatable

This is best for middle school kids but younger kids would love it too. The book is not cliche it does have that setting in a middle school with drama, but this book has completely different points. This book is hilarious and shows people to be true to themselves. I highly recommend it.

Great book for middle school girls

This book is fine for girls younger than 11yrs but I don’t think they would be able to relate

Great Book for Older kids!

Invisible Emma is a great book! Its mostly about how a girl named Emma and a girl named Katie connect over a love note. Younger kids will not understand it and they should not even be reading it. I have read this book about 5 times and have not gotten tired of it yet.

Entertaining and probably best for fourth to sixth graders.

This book is fabulous. I just finished reading it, and jeez, it blew my mind! I think parents, if you're looking on a really good review for this book, leave it to me. There isn't curses or anything in the book, and it's not really educational either. It's a fun book to read during long car trips, it really wraps you up and makes time pass, just like Young Sheldon did for me on an airplane once. Anyway, I think Invisible Emmie is perfect for all ages, but mostly fourth to sixth graders would really understand it. Thanks for reading, and please consider this book if your children ask for it!

Cliche, but entertaining

This book was sold at the Scholastic Book Fair at my school. I don't usually read books that have that many pictures, but I thought the cover looked pretty nice, and the back summary seemed all right. A bit cliche, but it had some potential. The book itself was entertaining. Not too moving, a bit inappropriate for a young child, but not horrible. I think there was too much of that "I want to be noticed by a boy, how great it would be if this boy would like me back" type stuff that is in 9/10 books I've read. The characters seem built off of the fact that they're quiet/popular, rather than having intricate personalities. It's a hetero-normative, cliche story. However, for the story it had, it was well written and was very entertaining. I got through the whole book very quickly, and took no breaks at all. I guess if I didn't want a story like this, I should have listened to the "Crushes. Humiliation. Drama." section on the back of the book that pretty much described all that happened in the story.
