Character Strengths and Life Skills

What is humility?

Humble folks don't regard themselves as more special or better than others. Humility works hand-in-hand with gratitude as a learned character strength that parents can teach by modeling.

Having the strength to be humble can lead to healthy relationships, inner well-being, and success. You can help kids develop humility by teaching them to admit when they're wrong, ask for forgiveness, identify and support strengths in others, and recognize that they have room for improvement.
