perfectly fine for those who like customization and breakneck speeds.
Perfectly fine for those who wanted a little topspin on Forza Horizon games. controls may seem a little different at first, but it is really easy to pick up. only downside is some parts of la aren't there, and some american apparel billboards are a slight slope, guns are present if you get arrested, but the cops don't shoot.

The most addictive Midnight Club game I've ever played
I've played other Midnight Club games, and they were really enjoyable. As for this entry, they fixed all problems, and it was just addictive. Violence is frequent. Violent car crashes are frequent, cars are mildy damaged. Cop chases appear at times, police point guns, but never any blood or injury is shown. Language is strong but infrequent. In songs, use of "b!#ch" is heard and different ways of "n!**a". Tons of crude humour and insults between drivers.

Highly underrated game, highly recommended for nostalgia and much more.
WARNING - INCLUDES SPOILERS
This game is truly amazing due to the fact that it was made in 2008. It's got good texture for being 14 years old, and multiple customisation options for each vehicle. I also love the fact that it has vehicles that are underrated, such as the vehicles manufactured by Saleen (S302, S6), and the 2004 Shelby Cobra Concept. I truly wish the vehicles in this game were included in newer games such as Need For Speed.. after all, they do need to add more vehicles into their games.
MC L.A has a great story, but in my opinion ruined it at the end due to the fact that you have access to every vehicle, every upgrade, and every customisation option for completely free.
Apart from that, MC L.A was a beautifully built game for it's age, and truly one of the most underrated/underestimated games in the racing genre.

Good Game, Fine For Older Kids.
It is not inappropriate in any way, nothing like the title makes it seem. All in all, you race other people to earn reputation and money to fix up your car. I would say 12+ just because of the language in the songs, but really, you’re so focused on the racing you kinda tune it out, plus you can turn the radio off. I would let my 8 year old little brother play it if I was with him, but he’s mature for his age. I think it’s fine for most older kids, and I understand the concern for the bad driving technique, but it’s very hard to control the car, and the game is not promoting it, it’s just what happens if you accidentally crash! And, you can run from the police, but as we all know, it’s just a game. Kids aren’t going to do it in real life, obviously we know it’s bad, it’s just another aspect of the game. Overall, it is a good game for older kids and all genders. I enjoy the game very much and I’m a girl, so try it out even if you’re a girl too. You might like it!

Not as bad as the rating says it is
Yeah, this game is rated T for teen. Probably not stopping many parents, though. This game is COMPLETELY FINE for your child! Yeah, it says strong lyrics on the back of the game, but it's nothing you won't hear on the radio in real life. This game has a HUGE map! No, there aren't any strip clubs or anything like that. I was playing this game when I was 8 with the radio on and my parents didn't care. They know I am a responsible child and I will never drive like this when I am on the road in real life. There really isn't any violence in this game; I guess it's considered violence if you run into things. I wanted to add this, though. You CANNOT run over people. They just magically get out of the way. Yes, there are police to come and arrest you if you do something bad. Overall, I think if you child knows not to drive this way, then let them play this game. My parents didn't hesitate one bit when they bought me this game; I think that's how you should be too.

Midnight Club Los Angeles
Midnight Club L.A one the top games on my shelf (including split/second and mortal kombat) but it simulates street crimes. First, the violence. In this open world racing game you can free roam, street race (which is hard), buy new cars and get in a car chase (you are the criminal) this is quite fun, but you can ram cars, get in a bad accident (though the driver never appears injured) and it lets you break every traffic law ever (traffic lights, pshh who needs those?) and this being open world, there are civilians but you cant run them over, as they will jump out of the way. Next up, language. While driving, you can flip through radio stations, most of them rap or hip-hop, that use curse words like, f--k, damn, b---h, and n--ga. but you can turn music down or off, but can also turn it up. the music can also be hard to hear while in a car chase or street race. Therefore, it depends on the kid but is best for 11 and up.

Fun racing game with gorgeous graphics
This game is by the same people who made gta. It has great graphics and can give you an adrenaline rush. It has music that you can play. The music is a radio edit, but that doesn't mean it's completely clean. It also defies the law with its street racing, going over speed limits, and car crashes. That doesn't really make it a bad game. Overall it's a great game that is good for kids such as 10+
